I had lunch at the Taco Spot and it was edible, but that's about it. I had a 'fish taco' that I'm not even sure what it was. It was some sort of mushed up something covered in a massive amount of mayo. The menu claimed it was a soy aioli sauce but I'm pretty sure it was just mayo... More

Hi Joni, we will replace any item you find unsatisfactory for any reason. We are sorry you did not like the Original Fish taco and would have replaced it with a different taco you may have liked more. Our Cilantro Soy Aioli is a mayonnaise based sauce. We have several spicy, blackened options for tacos such as blackened fish, blackened... More

Best tacos in town, burritos beat any Moes/Chipotle/Mexican joint I've had. Taco Boy can't hold a candle to this place-- they have an awesome cheeseburger taco! The steak tacos/quesadillas, etc is amazing. Try the loaded queso, and go on Taco Night for some pretty sweet deals. Love this restaurant and bar.

We hadn't been to Taco Spot in several years, and since they expanded, we thought they must be making good food and thought we'd give it a shot before going to see a movie. We ordered 5 different items. Weren't impressed by any. Food was flavorless-- very bland, not cooked well, and soggy. Service was fine (bartender especially attentive, refilling... More

This a a great quick but very good Taco place. The staff is friendly and the wait time is short. You can dine in ..limited seating. They offer beer & wine. Defiantly worth tring!

I had a great fish taco and would definitely come back to try more. I recommend the crunchy shell as it complimented the rest of the ingredients.

The salsa was very bland, the blackened fish taco was plain, and the blackened steak taco was OK. Most certainly not the best taco in town. Will give it another shot to try the carnitas street taco.

Dear SCreviewer2008, my name is Lindsey and my husband, JV, and I own the Taco Spot. We are very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your recent visit at our West Ashley location. We use whole tomatoes, garlic, onion, cliantro, jalapenos in our salsa, so it's really disappointing to hear you feel our salsa is bland. The blackened fish... More

This is a tiny west Ashley secret. On Tuesdays they offer $2.50 tacos. They are delicious! If you like PBR is cheap!! We loved it.

We all got something different but we all thought there could be a little more protein on them. I get trying to make a profit, but you need people to come back. Have to pay for chips and salsa, but the salsa was good. Also got the Mac and cheese side, very creamy and nice bite.

First off, the chips and dip are not complementary. So if you want those you will have to order them, they are fairly cheap so its not a deal breaker. The chips have a lot of pepper added to them so watch out for that. The salsa is a bit spicy, which I like. I went with the pineapple pork... More

Been twice for lunch in West Ashley. Great service with friendly conversation. The food is always fresh and creative. Great margaritas and all around affordable.
