I tried Black Bean Co. for the first time yesterday, and I had the most delicious gluten-free turkey club wrap ever. The wrap was wonderful! It didn't have that "gluten-free" taste that so many gluten-free products have. I hadn't had a decent wrap since I was diagnosed with Celiac a few years back, and this was a pleasant surprise. I... We came here for lunch, and being vegan they had many options but the quality of food was bland and not tasty! My wife and I shared a black bean burrito which was very bland, and we split the chocolate avacado mouse which tasted like a smoothy and not like a mouse. horrible food.

Pretty decent lunch. Hummus was bland. Ingredients fresh. Lots of plastic used in serving containers. Did have a recycle bin on the way out the door.

Friendly service, true gluten free options. I was not in the mood for a heavy breakfast so I had a smoothie. It was good, and some almond butter was added on request for protein. Would definitely return when I'm in town to try other options

Enjoyed a very nice strawberry/spinach salad with candied pecans and goat cheese; coffee was also good. Unfortunately, the Green Festival Wrap - jasmine rice, black beans, zucchini, a little avocado - was bland; it needed something to zip up the beans.

We were directed to this little veggie café by the nearby tourist information office when we needed a quick lunch prior to taking the town bus tour. We weren't familiar with some of the ingredients, but are always willing to try (almost) anything, although have to admit that we were puzzled when the young lady taking our order asked, 'would... ok, not everyone is a vegan, however the cakes were great and tasty and no animals abused or killed. Scrambled tofu very good. The restaurant was clean and not crowded for the time of day we went. 0900. Easy menu, good for any eater. Parking before 0900 on street free, but plenty of parking at other times. We came here... Great place for healthy food, very quick kitchen with option to personalize your choice of protein (chicken, shrimp, tofus etc) - friendly staff & quiet ambiance if you're on the go.

This is one of our favorite healthy lunch spots if we're in the Charleston area, even if we are staying out at the beach. If we come in or through Charleston, we love the food, especially the Green Beach burrito. Their vegetarian cookies are great as well as their yogurt and granola side dish. You will not be disappointed.
