We have a vacation home near Charleston and for almost 20 years have spent our special occasions at the Peninsula Grill. It is always wonderful: the food, service, atmosphere never disappoint.

You would think that an elegant restaurant that begins the meal with an amuse-bouche would be stuffy and pretentious - but that is not the case at the Peninsula Grill. The waiter, a gentleman with a lovely French accent, made us feel right at home...More

Our waiter, Laurent, took very good care of us. My wife is a she-crab soup lover and she said it was the best she's ever had. The seafood is excellent and the coconut cake lived up to it's reputation. We will definitely visit again!

As a Charleston native, we have NEVER been disappointed at Peninsula Grill. The atmosphere has not changed in the last 25 years, but it remains elegant and true to Charleston. The outdoor seating (if not too hot) is wonderful. Robert Carter (the original Chef) was...More

We love this place and we visit it for dinner every time we are in Charleston. Great for a romantic dinner. Food is great, servers are attentive and their coconut cake is to die for. We always get that.

This was our 10th visit. He evening was lovely. It was not as flawless as earlier trips but still very nice. Initial hiccup....the entire dinner Oder showed up ice cold. Not like warm...refrigerator cold. Odd. Server was of course mortified. Once heated/cooled our meal was...More

I should start out by saying that I may be biased. Peninsula Grill has long been one of my favorite places. My family came to Charleston for a weekend to celebrate a birthday and Father's Day. The food and wine, the service and the surroundings...More

Stayed at the Planters Inn next door/attached, had drinks at the bar----Corey was excellent! Had desserts later, and espresso, also excellent.

He was attentive (particularly after I briefly began to choke) without being oppressive, and gave excellent recommendations...More

It was a beautiful night so we requested to be seated in the terrace and were not disappointed. Service was great and Halibut special was delicious along with the Toffee Sundae and Coconut Cake. If it weren't for the bones in the Trout my wife...More

I don't know if they are open for breakfast
Would leggings and a nice blouse be appropriate for the ladies or should we plan to wear dresses?

My knee-jerk thought is a dress, but you could call them to ask. I called to ask about men's suggested attire before I went. My girlfriend wore a nice dress.
