I would recommend lunch at Gaulart as the best deal in downtown Charleston during our stay. Simply delicious salmon on rye, lamb and vegatable soup, house red for $13. And the ambiance was great too ! Look for yourself...

Go here for lunch now! They feature delicious homemade soups, salads and French style sandwiches, among other items. Daily lunch specials, which include a glass of house wine or beer, are $10-13. Such a bargain for a fantastic meal! I had the cold creamy cucumber...More
I can't believe I've never eaten here. The food always looks and smells delicious, but every time I've stopped in, it's just been for a drink. The wine selection is excellent, and the house wine is consistently inexpensive and decent quality. The atmosphere is very...More
Love this place. The owners are lovely. This place is good for a quick latte and perfect for lunch! I think its is a lovely GEM of Charleston tucked away on Broad.

This small bistro on Broad Street always seems busy, with wait times for lunch up to thirty minutes. But the food is well-prepared, French country style, and most offerings come with a glass of house wine. Servers are pleasant, cheerful and make the wait worthwhile.
I enjoyed their weekend dinner special - glass of house wine, salad, bouillibase and french bread. $22 I think for the meal and it was excellent. Also indulged in a freshly made croissant filled with the homemade dark chocolate filling. Decadent and so worth it!!
My husband and I frequent this restaurant anytime we’re in Charleston. The atmosphere is friendly and informal. The cheese and pate plates are delicious and the soups are wonderful. The soups change each day so there’s always a good variety. If we had to choose...More
