This was fun. Good service, okra, fried chicken livers, fried chicken and comfortable dining room. Time it right, could be a long wait.

I had the 2 piece fried chicken and was very good. Couldn't finish, brought one piece home. My husband had the pecan crusted chicken and said it was very good also. Desserts are yummy. Had pecan pie and coca cola cake. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.

Couldn't resist 3 pieces of fried chicken; though 2 might have left room for dessert. No complaints, as this was as tasty and moist a fried chicken as I've ever had. Good fries, nice vinegary cole slaw and a cold Palmetto ale. A late lunch, which made for a very light and late supper that night.

Stopped in on a recommendation from the carriage tour driver. Had fried chicken and it was awesome! Mashed potatoes and gravy were from scratch and the green beans were very good. Only regret not saving room for desert. Definitely worth stopping.

Really good food, good service and a cute place. The coca cola cake for dessert was the highlight! We got there before the dinner rush but people were lined up around the building waiting for a table. A neat, historic place to have a meal!

It took ten years to make it back to this glorious hole in the wall but I made it. It was the same light flaky ice box cold crust pie filled with rich creamy pudding with just the right amount of coconut folded in that delighted me years ago. Worth the stop but very crowded try mid afternoon!

Jestine's is on Meeting Street, a major thoroughfare that's a few blocks west of East Bay Street in Charleston. We'd heard a lot about this place from locals, and we took a bike taxi there from Liberty Square after our trip to Fort Sumter. The bike taxi cost us $11 for 10 minutes. At Jestine's, Lee Ann had the fried... More

This is a small place. Food is good. It is not expensive. Good Food Good Value Service is good. Jestine's is historic. The staff is very nice and helpful. They serve the best pickles as appetizers. We hadto buy a big jar and bring them home. We ate and ate. Oh my the food is good especially the fried chicken.

We have been to Jestine's many times and am always amazed how constant they are. Today we had meatloaf with collards and mac and cheese. Desert was not a question...coca cola cake is the only desert we have ever had. There are no surprises at New to he's.Always good food and service.
