Been coming to Charleston on vacation for three years and Magnolias continues to be our #1 spot to go. On our recent trip, we ordered the grits with seafood and a crab cake sandwich. The sauce topping the grit dish was worth the price of admission by itself. My wife's sandwich was not as good but still satisfactory. The decor... More

Brunch. The crab soup was excellent. Fried green tomato Benedict was a nice blend of flavors. Pimento grits, country ham, lump crab, poached eggs were almost sweet. Very nice blend of flavors. Fried green tomatoes weren't cooked enough for my taste and needed a sauce with more kick to accent them. Titos Bloody Mary was $10 and wasn't very big... More

The place and the staff itself were fantastic. What a beautiful place. Then...the food! First of all, boiled peanut hummus (don't knock it 'til you try it!) and southern fried mac and cheese. Simply delicious! The Deviled Eggs, Crispy Brussels and Low Country succotash were more of the same fare. So well executed and seasoned. But the mains were just... More

Restaurant Week in Charleston! And Magnolias did not disappoint! We started with the crab & artichoke stuffed mushrooms. These are very rich but we shared with the table. We enjoyed the following as a table: Grilled Salmon, Shrimp & Grits, and the Crab Cake appetizer. All were perfectly cooked. We finished our meal with the pecan pie cake which was... More

The southern caesar salad with cornbread croutons in above average, but I would not order it again. The buttermilk fried chicken plate uses very high quality chicken and corn--also has a biscuit, mashed potatoes, gravy and collard greens. Very lovely ambience for lunch. Very friendly service.

We had dinner at Magnolia's for the first time and the food and service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The seafood was amazing. The service was top notch and very nice atmosphere. Great experience.

Just spent a week in Charleston. Had dinner at 5 top restaurants. Magnolias was the best. Fabulous food, excellent service, quiet enough to actually have a conversation. Reasonable prices.

We ended a nice day in Charleston here based on the reviews. The food is excellent and we enjoyed every minute of our dinner. But it is pricey. We had one appetizer and both had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken dinner. With drinks and tip, we were out the door at over $80. Don't get me wrong, it's worth the fine... More

While the food here was fine (nothing exceptional) and the decor was typical, I am honestly still speechless about the events of our visit. I understand that accidents happen but to have a $90 bottle of Groth (red wine) spilt on my husbands expensive shirt by the waiter and the retribution being A DRY CLEANING VOCHER??? There were apologies, some... More
