Incredible dinner, service, ambiance, and drinks. I had the sturgeon and my wife had the South Indian fish. Both were impeccable. The waiter would periodically bring out a small sample of “trial” foods that we both loved. If we had to do it again, we’d...More

For a quick romantic jaunt to Charleston, my husband & I splurged here recently and were in absolute heaven. He chose the 22oz ribeye while I had the foie gras duck both of which were complete delight!! A must try for anyone.

What a jewel at Belmond. I enjoyed a sumptuous and sublime Tasting Menu with exquisitely selected wines from the sommelier, Rick. My two waitstaff, Lisa and Nissy (and Eric too), were lovely, passionate about food and loved doing their job well. The food from Michelle's...More

First night in Charleston and decided to splurge. Meal was truly extraordinary. Best crab cake i’ve ever tasted and the red snapper was astonishing. Great wine list, desserts, and service. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Charleston Grill was a wonderful dining experience. We sat where the Jazz Trio was playing but it wasn't so loud not to enjoy our conversation. They offered a variety of food choices so we selected an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. They willingly...More

My wife and I joined another couple for a delicious dinner on Saturday evening. Reservations are definitely helpful. The lobster disk was outstanding, and my wife enjoyed her fish.

We went there for our anniversary and it was spectacular. The service was over the top almost too good. Every single menu item we tried was really delicious. The waiter had two assistants who brought us single spoonfuls of things to try between courses and...More

A beautiful restaurant with plush accommodations. The food was very good. The highly recommended crab cake appetizer was slightly off-balanced toward the tart/citrusy side, but was well constructed with little filler. The sea scallops were perfectly prepared. Lamb chops and ribeye were exceptional. Chocolate pudding...More

Thank you so much for inquiring. The Grill is definitely an upscale restaurant and people do dress up. In the dining room you will see a wide variety of dress but you won't see shorts, tee shirts or anyone looking at all... More
