The craft beer is what drew us in, but the food is nice, too. I ordered pierogis (yum!). Nice bar to sit at, casual, friendly staff.

We needed a quick plate to eat where we could be dressed casually. The reviews were good so we gave it a try. I had a burger and my daughter got a salad with chicken on it. The burger was actually hand patted and really...More

We went here midday (about 3pm) with our baby to get some appetizers and drinks. This was Memorial Day. It wasn’t busy, we were seated right away and everything was delicious. We’d definitely go back!

Stopped in for lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was very good, great beer selection. Definitely a young vibe.

We loved coming here for tons of local beers. There were tons to try and we didn’t feel like it was too expensive for a night out. 6 drinks cost us about $35.

My group and I decided to stop by "Closed for Business" for a nightcap after a delicious dinner downtown. I figured this would be a good bet after reading the plethora of positive reviews from TripAdvisor and travel blogs. First off, I'm a sucker for...More

Closed For Business is a great place to sit back and enjoy a fantastic beer selection. Comfortable cool atmosphere, that's cozy. It's not a very big place, so seats may be tough to come by. Knowledgable bartenders is what Closed For Business has. They were...More

Bar is very fun and seating close to open windows is great. Ordered the nachos which were not very good and they were served without salsa. Good place to have a beer with friends.

I loved my burger; nicely seasoned. Chicken bacon sandwich also tasty, the bun got a bit messy. Nice surprise was option to have sautéed green beans instead of fries. They were a little greasy, but otherwise very tasty. We had the pierogi appetizer which were...More

I can only vouch for the grilled cheese with bbq ham and tomato soup that I had last year and again this. Soooo good, the tomato soup is very, very slightly chunky, but the basil flavor in it is perfect. So was the sandwich. My...More

We do not have a designated free parking lot, but you can usually find parking on the streets nearby. There is also a paid parking lot directly behind the restaurant that should have space available. See you soon!

Closed for Business is Charleston’s first dedicated tap room, with 42 taps, featuring many of Charleston’s best home-grown brews. The menu is Bavarian-inspired, highlighting our spin on traditional dishes served in bars & pubs in southern Germany, along with some American classics. We aren’t your standard bar; within our carefully curated walls our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing our guests with a casual, yet polished experience that hopefully introduces them to a world of beer they didn’t know existed. We do not take reservations of any kind and operate on a first come-first serve basis.
