The carpet in the place needs to be removed. My feet were sticking to the floor. It was very crowded and chaotic at the register when trying to pay the bill.

The restaurant is well worn, and could benefit from a little updating. However, they offer $4.95 lunch specials. My colleague had the BLT with steak fries, which he enjoyed. I had the Summit salad with their house made balsamic vinaigrette. The salad portion is generous and comes with chopped ham and turkey. The salad was fresh and the dressing delicious.... More

I am pleased that Chester has a place like the Summit to "anchor" the downtown area. There is a couple of other restaurants but none that have the bar hangout vibe that the Summit possesses. It definitely has the bar feel but this is not a one trick pony. Great sandwiches, good service, love the urban feel. I had a... More

I went with my parents for dinner. It wasn't terribly busy but it was steady. I ordered a pulled pork sand which and fries and it was good. The service was a little slow. Took almost 20 minutes to get our check.

Lovely restaurant with local flair. My whole group loved their lunch. I tried the "Monumental" Melt and it was quite tasty. Great service. Good for Chester!

This small town bar and grill can be found in an older section of downtown, near the courthouse and the confederate parrot rifle that dresses it's nice grounds. A lot of places in Charleston, Florence, and Greenville try very hard at achieving this Southern small town old world feel in their restaurants. This place doesn't have to try. It is... More

As part of a work project in the area, we decided to take a lunch break and visit Summit. Street parking is ample in what appears to be a dying downtown full of closed up businesses. After a short stroll, we arrived into Summit. First impressions are "Tall Ceilings, and wooden benches". After 5 or so minutes, the waitress stops... More

This restaurant has been a fixture in Chester. The food is great, and the staff is very down to earth. The next time you're in Chester, give this place a visit.
