Simple, fresh delicious oysters and cold beer. It doesn't get much better than that. For the non-oyster lover, there are shrimp and crab leg dishes that were equally good. The clam chowder was tasty also. A good, no-nonsense place to have a bite in a friendly atmostphere

It's my first time here. I was craving for seafood. I tried the buffalo shrimp, shrimp grits and oyster shooter. I love the food! This place is highly recommended. I would go back here again. Very friendly staff.

We visited this small restaurant while spending the night in Columbia. It has a bar atmosphere, but also serves fresh and delicious oysters, shrimp, crab legs and more. We were greeted by who appeared to be the owner "Mother Shucker", and she was so warm and friendly. While we ate our clam chowder, she offered another menu item (Crowder) which... More

Wife and I went to the oyster bar before going to a concert at the Colonial Life Arena. Not a fancy place but some very good oysters and very nice staff. Our schucker/waiter was Phillip and he was great. Very well mannered young man and he made sure we had everything we needed. Only thing I wish the oysters would... More

This is a dive that serves oysters many different ways. It smells, its dirty but I love eating oysters here.

So based on the reviews this place was on my list BUT when I walked up to the entrance the exterior (door, windows, paint, trash) was filthy. Could not proceed through the door thinking that if the exterior is this filty what is the kitchen like.

We went to this Oyster Bar because it was walking distance from our hotel. When you first walk in you think it's just a drinking bar. When you tell them that you're there for the oysters they send you to the back area. In the back, is a horseshoe-shaped bar that they serve food and drinks on. We ordered a... More

This place had been recommended by friends. It is shabby chic. I had doubts when we walked in. Bottom line; We ordered oysters on the half shell and they were brought to us and hand shucked in front of us!!! You don't get any fresher than that! And they were superb, We also had steamed clams which were equally superb.... More

What more could you ask for? The Oyster Bar is not particularly fancy but who needs fancy when you have greatness? Staff is very friendly, which for me is a huge part of a great experience, thank you Brock! The atmophere is laid back, they shuck oysters for you and let you choose from a good selection of domestic and... More

If you love oysters this is the place to come for a true oyster bar experience. You sit at a long bar and your oysters are shucked by the barkeep right in front of you. The cocktail sauce is served warm from a coffee pitcher. Was not sure about this at first - only have ever had chilled cocktail sauce-... More
