This was my first visit to Chophouse. For an appetizer I ordered the baked shrimp. The waiter brought out 4 shrimp drenched in butter and soggy breadcrumbs. That will set you back $18.50. At almost $5 per shrimp, that's waaay overpriced for what you actually get. I ordered the center cut ribeye and the cheese mashed potatoes for my entree.... More

Awesome steaks, awesome food, Just stinks like a horrible cigar bar that is at the front bar. We had the Ribeye and it was wonderful. When we got home, we had to put our clothes right in the wash because of the cigar smoke smell, and we were in the back of the restaurant.

Fighting downtown traffic and parking for what? A sub par dining experience and over-priced mediocre food? Chophouse 47 is not only the most outstanding dining experience in South Carolina, it is the best you have had in a long time I promise you. Portions are generous and entree's impeccable. Service is on par to a Manhattan 5 star restaurant. Don't... More

Ok, this place is simply the best. The ambiance, friendliness of the staff and most important the food and wine are exceptional. It's the third time I've taken news clients here and again they were more than impressed. I started with the oyster shots which were delicious! I then had the 8oz rib-eye with wonderful creamed spinach cooked to perfection.... More

The restaurant is very nice however, there are a few items that everyone should know before visiting. First, it is expensive. Dinner for 3 with dessert may cost over $200. Second, the lighting is very dim and the menus are printed in brown ink on sepia toned paper which make them very difficult for older eyes to read. If you,... More

Special celebration or business, Chophouse will deliver. Service is excellent and the food was delicious. Al la carte sides are great to share since they are good sized portions. Rita was our server and she was great. Compliments to the rest of the staff that swoop in quietly and regularly to clear dishes and refill beverages. We all had steak... More

Ok, the steak was great at Chophouse 47, but we had some issues. When we walked in the smell of cigarette smoke hit us and believe it or not in this day and age, someone was smoking in the bar. That smell followed us when we were seated and it really bother my wife - so much so that we... More

I was extremely fortunate to have back to back dinners at the Chophouse '47. Both nights were outstanding. The food and service are incredible. We had different servers each night, but the service continued to be outstanding. Both nights, the staff was extremely attentive. The food was perfect. Although it is a great steak house, the seafood is very good.... More

Great steaks. Stiff drinks. Great atmosphere. If you don't want to smell the smoke from the car, ask to sit in the back room. Some steakhouses downtown may get more publicity, but you won't get a better steak then you will here.

My wife recently dined at a Chop House in Murfreesboro, TN., thinking that this establishment might be the same, we decided to give it a try. It was definitely not the same. This place you definitely will get excellent food, but you will pay a premium price for it. Most dinners start at well over $30.00, and go up rapidly... More
