We are locals and we usually only try to go to this restaurant during the off season due to the summer crowds. I had one of the best grilled salmons ever along with the red rice, squash and a few INCREDIBLE bites of my husband's Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese. My husband had the local Wreckfish and it was fantastic... More

That's about all I can say about this place. It's ok. Go back down the street to the long island cafe!

My wife and I agree that this may be the best place for seafood on the east coast. You get what you pay for here. High quality, fresh, and original. Atmosphere is perfect for an SC barrier island!

My wife and I have been there for dinner in the past, but this was our first visit for their sunday brunch. We started out with their spicy shrimp & grits, it was the best shrimp & grits we have ever had. I had their scrambled eggs with bacon well done, home potatoes, and their home made biscuit. They prepared... More

Went here on our first date without baby and shared fried shrimp/calamari and had delicious cocktails. We loved the food but loved the atmosphere in the patio/bar. It was really cool to see a charter come in and unload their fish while we enjoyed our drinks, as well as a few dolphins pass by while we are.

A storm came in before we had our food. We were sitting out on the deck and it was blowing and raining sideways. Totally not the restaurant's fault. We had been upstairs earlier with the one man band ... That guy was good. So we got rained on by mother nature who cares? Free shower after 90 + degree weather.... More

The restaurant is built into an old boathouse right at a spot where a hurricane cut a breech through the dune to the Intercoastal Waterway. It is an interesting build with lots of marine archetype and artifacts. It's a typical beach restaurant with lots of seafood on the menu. But that's why we go to the beach-to eat seafood. We... Our family was visiting for the holiday from Naples Florida. Our son in law chose this spot because he want to show our grandson where he used to fish.. It was wonderful. We arrived early to watch the sun set. The food was excellent. service was excellent. Perfect evening!!!

The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. We were seated on the enclosed porch at the back of the restaurant which was very noisy. The service was very slow and food quality poor. As a starter I ordered 3 oysters at $3 per oyster. I was told that they were of medium size. One of the three was smaller... More

Visited the area for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Had a Thanksgiving day reservation for this place. My wife and daughter had the traditional thanksgiving meal and I opted for the fresh catch of the day instead. I got the blackened Atlantic Salmon with thanksgiving sides, it was pretty darn good! Would definitely come back on a regular night to see... More
