This place has really good southern food and the staff is very friendly . It's a small mom and pop place but you will enjoy it . I love their Tuesday dinner menu because their steak & gravy is the best along with their chicken and dumplings. Honestly, I love just about everything on their Tuesday menu. The macaroni and... If you're southern you know gray mac and cheese and veggies, not to mention barbecue and hash. This is your place. My husband and I go there regularly and often do a take out, too. If you're not southern don't worry. You'll enjoy the fried chicken just fine. Took some large takeout casseroles to a church dinner and everybody took... More

Loved their mashed potatoes. You could taste the butter. I ate the bar-b-q and was good. One of the ladies with me had the liver and onions and said was good. They also had fried chicken, baked chicken and Salisbury steak. Yeast bread and corn bread. You also get dessert (banana pudding, blackberry cobbler and chocolate stuff. Tea was included in... More

I've been going to the VM since they opened in a small house in Cayce. Every time they grew and moved I would follow. Had dinner there last night, 2nd time in 2 weeks, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to eat. Everything on the buffet is hot and tasty. I definitely consider it southern comfort... Local buffet eatery which serves good country cooking. This is a locals hangout and the food is plentiful. Always good food, tea and desserts. Bring cash or checks only, no credit cards.

Staff is always so nice and smiling, it is always so welcoming. My small children eat very little and up to a certain age is free. My husband and I enjoy coming here for BBQ and other tasty sides.

We ate lunch here today for our Greens & Black eyed Peas, fried cornbread & Red Velvet Cake. Everything was fabulous - Southern Cooking at its best. Try them in 2017!! 🆗

Yesterday we had plans to eat at the newest restaurant opened by this family but found it closed when we arrived so we decided to eat at the Vegetable Medley instead. We had been there before but it had been several years. After going through the buffet we know why we had not been back. We arrived an hour before... More

Good selections of food for the money. We noticed that the food was not warm and they had just opened. Was cold in side as if the heat was not working. Our bad experience showed up later as we got food poisoning. They need to make sure the food is kept hot on the bar. Reluctant to go back again.
