Love the outside patio here and Zack our server was entertaining and took good care of us. Fresh Peach colada’s were deliscious. Dinner was OK. Stuffed Flounder was over salted. Crab Legs were good but the warm butter to dip it in was nothing I...More

Old school restaurant on the waterway!Little River is a great way to get out of the hustle of Myrtle Beach area and eat fresh seafood. Very casual, they easily accommodated our party of 13. Popular with locals and tourists alike.

We ate here after our dolphin cruise. Service was very slow and not only that but my daughter's order was wrong. She got chicken instead of shrimp. We had waited so long to even get that food..that she just ate the chicken because it would...More

We are locals and have many options to dine. We choose Captain Juel’s regularly for dinner. In the past 4-5 years that we have dined there our meals are always wonderful. The service is spot on. The reason we return is not only the quality...More

Sorry you where not please, we don't have salmon row at all. And our Sushi Chef is an award winning Sushi Chef. Our sauces are made in house daily. We cook veggies to order no steam table. And those fresh batter Calms are amazing. Thanks

My review isn’t about the food or the wait time at this establishment. My husband and i went to dinner with another couple here last night. When i sat in my chair, it collapsed under me and I ended up on the floor. Obviously, it...More

A number of recent bad reviews should have been a red flag. People waiting to be seated while half the restaurant empty = short staff in kitchen or dining room. Service was slow and most food arrived nearly cold. Best guess otherwise would have been...More

Your are right, it's sad that we don't have the staff to seat our full restaurant. As for the food arriving cold, I'm myself work in the kitchen (due to lack of kitchen staff) and no food set long. If your visiting Myrtle Beach I...More

Our favorite! Walked right in and got seated outside, which was what we wanted. Service was great. Food was wonderful. Try the blackened chicken caesar wrap, or the shrimp po boy. And a MUST is a side of hush puppies, the best ever!

We had a large group so service was quite slow. The food is good, but a little pricey. My salad was perfectly dressed which is rare. It is down by the water so parking is tight but it has great atmosphere.

Found this restaurant on a fluke but so glad we did. Great food and service. Wide variety of food selections. Able to please our group of 7.

In the mid 1900's a new chapter of history was made in a small town in Little River S.C. At that time a restaurant was opened in the very banks of the Intercoastal Waterway, called Capt. Juel's Hurricane. In the mid 70's the restaurant was brought by Joe Robertson, who still owns it today. You will still find Mr. Joe in and around the kitchen and his wife Deanna behind the bar mixing up killer drinks or in the kitchen preparing the luscious desserts. The restaurant is managed by their daughter Heidi and her husband Clayton, it truly is a family affair. In 2014 the place under went a total renovation inside and out. The restaurant now features a new Sushi Bar, that's a must have over looking the untouched marshlands. Capt. Juel's stills brings you the freshest seafood, hand cut steaks and chops. The menu is filled with a variety of choices from tacos to burgers. Or maybe just stop by the have a drink on the deck and enjoy seeing the fishing boats bring in the catch of the day.
