My husband and I visited here last week, after reviewing online "positive" reviews......and besides, we DO enjoy BBQ! Well what a disappointment!! Where were the BBQ items?!?! No ribs, No brisket, No sausages! All we were offered were OVERLY!! steam-table fare.....pulled pork, pulled chicken, and...More

Visiting Myrtle Beach went for lunch, based on Trip Advisor reviews, came away somewhat disappointed. Service was friendly enough reasonable price but little of what I've come to expect of Carolina BBQ. Found the fried chicken to be dry along with the pulled pork. Collard...More

I Googled "where the locals eat" & found this. By the plate or buffet. $10.10 for buffet. $6.30 by the plate or a bbq sandwich for $3.25. What a deal. The bog is the best rice w/sausage/chicken. But the rice is made with real chicken...More

We ate the lunch buffet today and it was delicious. I especially wanted the chicken bog and it was so good. All the veggies on the buffet were seasoned perfectly. We would eat here again.

We've been going here for decades. Best pulled pork sandwich ever. Dinner plates and full buffet with endless list of sides served Southern Style. A bit off the beaten path and nothin' fancy but Southern Comfort eat'in.

Russell and Marcelin Davis carry on the legacy of Big John Davis of the best vinegar based bbq in the area! Also the best fried chicken as well! Everything else is great as well but if you love bbq and/or fried chicken don't miss this...More

From the outside, the building is very unassuming. There is nothing flashy or "Myrtle Beach-ish" about it. The inside is very "down home." The ceiling is wood paneling, there's taxidermy on the walls and it definitely has that small, country restaurant feel. They have a...More

My family always makes a point of eating here when we're at the beach. It's "no frills" and down home, reasonably priced and very good, especially the BBQ.

We are family owned and Russell (one of the owners) has been the cook for over 25 years. He is still doing things the way his dad did. The atmosphere will be sure to please you. We slow cook our bbq for 14 hours to be sure it is the best you ever taste. We have a varitey of vegetables for you to choose from. Your children will love our corn and fried chicken.
