This restaurant is located on a lake with a great view. We were there on a busy night but the service was good. I had the specific of the night, prime rib, which arrived perfectly done to my request and did not have the usual large piece of fat. My companion had the fried oyster platter which was also delicious.... More

My husband and I usually enjoy eating at Chesapeake house. We know during the month of January they're closed so we decided to visit the bar for happy hour at their sister restaurant Chestnut Hill. Because of the reviews on Trip Advisor we were looking forward to Appetizers and drinks before having dinner. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:25.... More

(Flounder) were two filets of an obviously long thin fish with no resemblance to a flounder. Very strong fishy flavor and tasted like it was three or four days old. Seafood Casserole was a small portion served lukewarm and not as described on the menu. The melted cheese topping the seafood resembled an orange piece of cardboard and tasted the... More

We ate here on Sunday. The place next door was closed but the sign recommended eating here. The place next door now has a competitor for my business! The staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was excellent and the atmosphere (complete with fireplace and a view of the lake) was tremendous. We really liked the food and the restaurant.... More

Last night my wife and I had a delicious meal at Chestnut Hill Restaurant. This is a very quaint setting to enjoy dinner. My my wife had crab cake meal, which was very good and I had a ribeye steak, which was perfectly prepared. The bacon wrapped scallops for the appetizer were outstanding. We were there early in the evening,... More

Very nice restaurant but a little pricey for what you get. We did the early bird specials and they ran around $19.00. I had seafood fettuccine Alfredo which was very good. My husband had the fried shrimp and they were just OK he said. He did say he has had much better ones. Service was good and we went with... More

We love this restaurant, it is decorated so beautiful and you feel you have been transport to another place. This is another place where you can talk with each other quietly. We split the Seafood Platter and there was plenty for both of us. A small fee for the split plated included a salad and they split the plate in... More

Went for the New Years Day Brunch. Had not been here before, so can only review it on this one aspect. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful lake views. Lots of wildlife to watch. Very cozy and nice dining room. The special price for seniors was $23.95. Reasonable price for a very nice buffet selection. Good food. Nice desserts. Our waitress was very... More

Just went to the New Years Brunch (2017). It was crowded, but the crowds were well managed by the staff. The food was excellent, expertly prepared, and surprisingly well maintained on the steam tables. Great variety. Service was good, attentive but not intrusive. Clientele was a mix of locals and tourists. Its an old established MB restaurants, but we were... More
