Not the fanciest place but it has a lot of great choices on the menu. Shrimp and grits were fantastic. Fried shrimp basket was excellent too. The wait staff are very friendly and they all helped each other out when it got busy. Each one...was as nice as the next. Great view of the marshlands from their outdoor seating area. We will sure be back to this place for a future visit!More

We both ordered the crab stuffed flounder with shrimp. One of us got a reasonable size serving of fish with no skin; the other had a very small thin piece of fish with skin on it. No taste of lemon in the skimpy amount of...sauce. The rice was dry and chewy, even crunchy in places, and the green beans were so raw as to be inedible. The person who brought our plates from the kitchen was the friendliest staff person there - the hostess and the waitress did their jobs with no noticeable enthusiasm. The setting is pretty on a marsh, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. We were very disappointed in the quality of the meals and won't return.More

My wife and I stopped in while camping nearby and glad we did. The food was excellent and good prices. My wife had fried shrimp platter and I had the fried seafood platter. Good sized shrimp and cooked well. On the platter also the flounder...and oysters were very good. Parking is limited if you have a larger vehicle but luckily we were able to park the dually across the street. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a view of the marsh.More

We booked for 5 o clock and didn’t get our food until 6, half the items from the menu we wanted were not available. The service was super slow and the orders were brought out too far apart from one another. One couple had finished...their apps before the others had even arrived. The food was bland, the steak was definitely rare , dripping in blood even though I asked for medium rare. The food was very over priced , $220 for 4 adults and 1 child with 2 apps, 4 mains, 1 kids item and 1 dessert. Will not be going back.More

2nd time I’ve eaten here in the last month. Both times the food was awesome, fresh, and service was great! Both times we had Regina as our server. Professional, quick and friendly! Will be back!

If you are In Beaufort it is worth the drive. We stayed the night in Beaufort but decided to cross the bridge the next day to hit Hunting Island and check out all the Islands. I love boils and the true name being Frogmore stew...what better place to get one than Frogmore itself. We stopped here after visiting Hunting Island State park and it was JAMMED with locals for lunch (always a good sign) we couldn’t find any parking so we drove around and explored more. We came back and found parking we sat outside with a beautiful view of the water. We got the crawfish and shrimp yum yum ya ya and it was incredible the fried grits in the middle was perfect. For our meals we both ordered shrimp boils and they were perfect shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage all cooked perfectly. We had strawberry cheesecake for dessert which was also great. Our waitress who I cannot remember her name was from North Carolina and she was awesome friendly and super helpful! It is worth a stop or it’s own trip and we will definitely be going back our next time we go to South CarolinaMore

From the start, our visit was wonderful. Danielle was very informative & pleasant. We ordered the blackened snapper special, seafood & grits special, Cajun pasta, & fried whole flounder ALL of which were fabulous. Do not pass this place up.

Stopped by for lunch on Memorial Day. Wanted an authentic Gullah dining experience. The Gullah Grub house across the street was closed so this had to do. The Seafood Boil was great. Good seasoned food. Had the frog legs, calamari, shrimp/crawfish/sausage yum yum ya for...appetizers. Good food. As with most restaurants recently, the wait staff was maxed out. There was a bit of a wait for food. But that seems to be standard in this industry.More

I eat at Foolish Frog every time I go camping at Hunting Island State Park. Recently I had two meals there, one with friends and one alone. All of our meals were great. I hightly recommend this restaurant.
