We went for a late lunch around 3pm on a Sunday and were one of only three tables occupied. We chose to sit in the garden and enjoyed a bottle of the house sauvignon blanc, a house salad starter (fresh and excellent), and two mains which were recommended by our server: trout with lentils, and Indonesian chicken with roasted vegetables.... As visitors to the area, we turned up for a visit to the animal shelter unaware the visits were per a timetable. We drove on to find a place for coffee, drove into a gate that said Anne's Cotton Club Cafe. Driving along a dirt road, we were stunned at the mini village we found. The restaurant provided us with... More

We had visited the Animal rescue centre at maholoholo and we stopped off for lunch at the Cotton Club Cafe. What a delicious suprise ! We are world travellers and to say we had a meal that will last long in the memory is not an under statement! Prawns with Avocado followed by the most fantastic calamari dish and the... More

This restaurant is open every day of the week for lunches but my favourite by far is the Sunday Roast! The roast varies from week to week & ranges from pork, with the best crackling you've ever tasted, sirloin of beef, with the best yorkshire pudding you've ever tasted & leg of lamb. The offering & presentation is superb, with... More

The Cotton Club has a varied menu and there is something to suit all tastes. The salads are especially good and big enough to share. There are a few other great shops in that area so the Cotton Club Café becomes a welcome refreshment stop. They are licensed. Worth the visit.

Lovely setting with spectacular view of the mountains. There is potential to improve the gardens which would enhance the outdoor experience. On an overcast day, the veranda was very dark. Mains took some time but were tasty, nicely presented and the portions generous. Overall, hearty, robust country cooking! Desserts disappointing.

Out in what feels like the middle of nowhere, Anne's Cotton Club Cafe hides at the end of a small road off the main road. And what a wonderful place this is! You can chose to sit in the lush garden or inside the cosy restaurant. The food is very high quality, and as always in SA, at very good... More

I had the most amazing version of chicken pot pie ever! Full of flavor, tender chicken and a light, flakey crust. Soo good! Great wine selection and we set at an outdoor table that had amazing view of the mountains. We should have gone back again!

This is where the locals go for Anne's delicious Sunday lunches, which often extend into lovely, leisurely afternoons. The menu is simple, yet the food is exquisite and beautifully presented. Anne is a wonderful hostess, who is very ably assisted by the sweet and friendly Rosie and Angel.
