This place is fantastic. Sat outside for lunch. All of our food was very good and inexpensive. Service was also good. Old Market looked like it would be good and it exceeded our expectation. Will be back for sure.

I was in Brookings for business and decided to try something different (having eaten at Pheasant and Craft multiple times). OME proved to be a good alternative. The atmosphere was quiet (even though I sat at the bar) but nice. The menu is different for Brookings... I ended up with a chicken dish which was solid though not unbelievable. The... More

I had the grilled cheese sandwich, and it was excellent! I had to ask them to not put on the onions- and it was no problem. The atmosphere was great because it was not at all crowded for lunch (went at 11:30) so we sat ourselves.

Great menu that is ever changing. Have not had a bad experience yet. Food choices might be different but they are all good. Highly suggested.

This is one of the best meals that I have had in South Dakota. They have tons of vegetarian options, great atmosphere, and friendly service. We had the goat cheese spinach appetizer, and I got the veggie pita. It was delicious! I will definitely be coming back next time I am in town.

The location is great. Right in downtown and is quaintly decorated. The menu uses fresh local ingredients. But the finish is a bit off. The dishes need more refinement and quality control. And the service was slow on our visit even though it wasn't busy.

We go to the Old Market Eatery pretty regularly—once every couple of weeks, I would say, and we are rarely, if ever, disappointed by any aspect of the experience. Last night we dined with friends and enjoyed a delicious meal, as well as a couple of hours of laughs and conversation. The food was spectacular—hummus plate, salads, pastas, burgers, pitas,... Wow...this renovated bank turned culinary delight has a wonderfully welcoming interior, from the bar and dining room, to the beautiful veranda. We love eating in the veranda in the evening when the lights are twinkling. The food is top notch ( I love the Bacon and Brussels Grilled Cheese) and there is a plethora of craft beer on tap and...
