From booking our table to paying the bill we had the best experience, delicious food and fantastic customer service. There were eight of us dining for lunch today after a really pleasant walk around the park at Blickling, all the meals were beautifully presented, I have to say I thought mine was the best, the lamb was perfectly cooked, the... Visited this restaurant last night to celebrate my friends birthday. I have been here a couple of times before and was hence looking forward to good food. Last night was a massive disappointment as the quality and quantity of the food was very poor. Not only in my opinion but also of the other 7 members of our party. My... More

We drove around on Easter Sunday trying to find somewhere for a roast dinner. Everywhere was full but the sun came out and we sat in the gardens here with our dog. They do allow dogs in the bar area of the restaurant. Lovely location. Chickens wandering around outside. I had roast beef and my husband had roast lamb. Both... More

Visited here today with family for an Easter Sunday roast dinner with a toddler and a dog too. Lovely pub, food was really delicious and the staff were very friendly. They were very accommodating for our daughter (22 months) and had a highchair and children's menu for her (including a children's roast). However, they don't have any baby change facilities... More

Underwhelmed. All perfectly fine...just a lack of wow. Two wafer thin slices of bread to start, set the scene. Fishcake (singular). Dollop of chocolate mousse.

We ate here on the last night of a three day break in Aylsham. The food was excellent ,the staff attentive ( Jess may be a young person but was a lesson to many - a real credit to the business) .We had a choice of where to sit either in the bar or the conservatory - we chose the conservatory... The Walpole Arms is a very pretty pub in a very small village. We met for lunch and it was all very pleasant and the food was delicious.

This was my Husband and I special place, so we returned after 6 years last week with my sister in law, her first visit. We were greeted by a charming man and then shown to our table. Drinks order taken, we all decided on the burgers and were so not disappointed. The ambience of the pub/restaurant is still superb. Our... More

I decided to meet my best friends here for a catch up. I hadn't seen them in 4 months! I have always loved the food and the atmosphere here. I ordered the burger but when it turned up it was the chicken burger that was on the menu I didn't want to have to wait for them to cook me... More

The Walpole Arms, Itteringham, dating back to the 18th century is a traditional country pub, sitting within the heart of north Norfolk's picturesque countryside in the village of Itteringham. Itteringham stands on the River Bure, four miles north west from the market town of Aylsham and just two miles from the National Trust's magnificent Blickling Hall. We pride ourselves on offering an innovative and exciting menu, preparing dishes using the highest quality, locally produced, seasonal ingredients. Our traditional bar area is full of country pub charm, with a wood burner warming up cold winter nights, welcoming both diners and non-diners alike, whether it is a pint of one of our many real ales such as Woodfordes Wherry, Adnams Southwold, a glass of wine from the extensive wine list, or a meal from our a la carte menu.
