Tried the newly added Riblets. DELISH!!! Came with a mustard sauce and a BBQ sauce- the mustard was better and kept my lunch keto friendly. Wait staff friendly and extremely helpful.

Someone at our hotel recommended we try this place so we ate here for dinner. My husband enjoyed his roast beef sandwich and onion rings. I ordered something local which was the Chislic (marinated sirloin tips, deep fried to perfection). It was almost inedible as...More

We ate at the Bumpin Buffalo twice during our stay in Hill City. The food is honest, the drinks great value ( we were there for happy hour) and the staff personable if not particularly efficient. The atmosphere was probably the greatest attribute as it...More

We stopped in here after arriving in Hill City for lunch. Service was good and the food is okay, typical bar food. We had onion rings, which were good. Okay restaurant, nothing special.

This Historical Bar & Grill is located downtown Main Street in the small mountain community of Hill City South Dakota. The building, built in 1903 resides as one of Hill City’s oldest standing buildings on Main Street. Hill City in the early mining days was once know as a town with a church on each end and a mile of hell in between. Some visitors claim to say to this day they can hear and see the ghosts of the miners and cowboys past. Inside is a Brunswick-Blake-Collender Back Bar built in 1897. With having beveled glass mirrors the bar reflected thirsty patrons bellied up to the bar, and boot propped on the brass rail. Back then Bar Stools were considered improper-real men took their liquor standing up. The Bar and Grill is well known for our Famous 1/2 lb fresh Angus Burgers, amazing Buffalo Burgers, Beef Chislic, Homemade soups and awesome specials. Come Bump with as the Bumpin Buffalo when you are in the Mount Rushmore area!
