WOW - still good after years here - same quiet spot, same outstanding sandwhiches and soup. The sandwiches are BIGGER than the posters depict

My husband loves this place and wanted to take me there, I am not super picky but I will say I don't care for a soggy sub. I had to eat what I could disappointed. I don't plan to go back, it was very cold in there too.

Locals like to feel like that they pay homage to a local monument, but it isn't as cool as local like to think they are. Local loyalty is the key. Competition, nearby, would put them out of business.

This was my first visit to the Pickle Barrel. It has a charming Americana ambiance and the sandwich and chicken chili I ordered were delicious and served timely. The only negative was that the heavy metal music playing in the background was loud and obnoxious and totally incongruous with the rest of the atmosphere. In fact, this would be the... More

The décor is classic American nostalgia, with framed classic barn photos, with tasteful period architectural elements such as a beautiful hinged barn door painting on weathered wood, primitives, a set of early 20th century residential double-doors mounted on walls, etc. The female who waited on us is excellent. The heavy metal music was head-throbbing loud, atonal, irritating, and soul-disturbing. It... More

Since I moved to Sioux Falls early this summer I have visited your restaurant five times. My last visit was this past Thursday the 19th in the afternoon; and, it will be my last visit. Both the quality and quantity of the sandwiches have fallen off. I am not certain but it seems the meat is different-not as flavorful. I... More

It's a neat little place to eat inside a shopping mall strip center. The food is cooked fresh but lacks a true sandwich craftsman taste. Just feels like & taste like it was just thrown together, no taste to define the type of sandwich your eating. Service was good, but like sandwich was just thrown together & made to fast.

Ordered the cheese steak, the bread was very soft. It was just like I was back home on the east coast. But the price is up there, I would go like once a week.

The Beach Comber sandwich I had for lunch today was surprisingly good! The bread was really fresh and the turkey, Italian salami and provolone cheese paired with mustard was a great combo. My husband had the Pepper Steak which he said was really good, but wouldn't let me have a bite. Stop here if you get the chance, the only... More

I've been to Pickle Barrel many times and have always had a good experience. Their sandwiches are huge, and packed full of quality ingredients. They certainly aren't skimpy on your food, and you'll never leave here hungry. Their soups are also really good if you're a soup & sandwich type of person. If you're looking for a sandwich in Sioux... More
