The food and service is always consistently excellent. My favorite!! The grilled romaine salad, pork shoulder and short ribs are highlights but we had fish on our latest visit, which was delicious.

I plan my business trips around this restaurant, they are not open Sunday's. It was the most amazing surprise first time dining there, the food is unexpected - meaning - very chic and not what I thought would happen when in the South. Fusion Italian,...More

Haven’t traveled at length in Italy and spent a lot of time in a little Italy in New York as well, I understand how giving a southern twist could make it less Italian, but that doesn’t happen at this fantastic gem of a restaurant! Antipasto...More

We stopped by on a Saturday night and had a great meal with another couple. We sat outside on their porch and it was a wonderful atmosphere. We split the fried rhode island calamari as our appetizer and everyone enjoyed that. I had the pappardelle...More

My first time,,,,I was not disappointed...an outstanding Italian restaurant varied menu choices,,very, very dark..noisy...mostly from the bar area. However the quality of food, the service made this an excellent dining experience...the three of us all ordered different menu items..all were very pleased

In town on business, I was invited to dinner to Alleia. Immediately walking in, you're greeted by a charming hostess. I loved the decor...very modern. However, it's incredibly DARK in the restaurant. I had to use my phone screen to read the menu. That is...More

We were sightseeing around town and stopped in as the sun was setting. We were early, they had just opened, and we were the only diners in the front room, so the sunset was beautiful streaming in the windows. Our server was very attentive, and...More

Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.
