We've eaten at Champy's downtown several times and have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. We always get the tamales for an appetizer and the 8-piece chicken meal with two sides (usually slaw and baked beans). Since there's only three of us we always have enough to take home for another meal - bonus! I listed it... More

That was the best fried I've ever had.. It out beats Popeyes, Bojangles, and KFC any day! Caroline, our server, was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Definitely will be back!

Whenever I have a yearning for good fried chicken I always go to champy's. They are always good and hot. Great taste and good friendly service.

I eat here often and always struggle with what to order because there are so many good choices. Don't order to go - just doesn't turn out as well when you get home and steam has left breading soft instead of crispy. Fried green tomatoes are best in town although they are more like fried pink tomatoes sometimes. Livers are... More

We visited the newest location of Champy's while staying in Ooltewah. This location was very close to where we were staying so it was much more convenient than going to downtown Chattanooga. The tamales are a "can't miss" & I would have never expected that! I wish I could have taken some home with me! The chicken was wonderful too!... More

We ordered entirely too much good food. Really really good fried chicken. Really great cold draft Yuengling. Some of the best fried pickle spears I've ever had. Pet Friendly on the patio, and lots of great neon. Had a great locals feel. Always a good stop for an afternoon of feel-good, when hanging out in Chattanooga.

Loved the chicken and the decor was very relaxed and inviting. Not too long of a wait, could sit inside or out. Great place.

If you want a real Chattanooga experience and have some forties and foul then Champy's is your place! Now every time I visit Chattanooga this is a must go! I am so glad they are finally opening one closer to where to stay and work!

We read some reviews and decided to lunch here. Waited half hour for a table. From the moment we sat down we became disappointed. Server indifferent ... fried chicken nothing you wouldn't get in a gas station - dry on top of that. Sides lackluster. Drinks empty more than full. Overpriced and if this is the norm the lines won't... More

Wonderful food and service! Dollar bills lining the walls. Excellent fried green tomatoes. We had fried catfish, chicken, tamales, coleslaw, green beans. All was excellent.

Thank Timothy D
