We showed up about 8.30. We both were quite happy with the appetizers that we ate. Try the totchos, wife had brie; both were unusual and pretty good. The place is a bar, so there was ample craft beer to be had. The layout is worth a look, as it is sort of like a slice of pie (triangular). We... More

Was very pleased with visit. Was aware ahead of time that this was a smoking establishment but still wanted to check it out. Sure glad I did too. GREAT food, drinks and service. Mike, our waiter was very polite & attentive. We ordered the most delicious fried Pickles I've ever had. The dipping sauce had a great kick to it.... More

The food, service and atmosphere were great. The sign on the door did announce that smoking was allowed. We checked and when we arrived, no one was smoking but there was a cigarette smell. We stayed and had the great seat up front. We almost made it to the end of our meal and out luck ran out. Two tables... More

"The Barrel" as we call it, has been a go to for years. The menu has a surprising selection for what you think would be mainly greasy bar food. Fresh field green salads, wraps, and even warm brie have found their way onto the list over the years. Have a Bloody Mary as it comes with one of their deliciously... More

Was really looking forward to eating at this establishment until I seen the smoking sign and walked into the restaurant..could not fathom to sit and eat indoors with all the smoke. Might return another time when the outdoor section is open.

If you are OK with smoking indoors this is a neat little dive to check out in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. I'm sure it has been there since the days of civil war battles. There is a really cool upstairs you can climb up to with an upper patio. Mixture of interesting characters from cooks getting off dinner shifts,... More

Grabbed soup and sandwiches from here. Delicious food, lots of character inside. There was no one smoking in the establishment when we were there, but my coat still smelled like smoke when we left. They were also out of moon pies and we were hoping to have the deep fried moon pie.

A great place, and very unique! In the shape of the flatiron building... Small and friendly and great pub food! The sidewinder fries were great and the chili and house salad was very good!!! The whole fried pickle looked great and the tots did too!!!! Many great sandwiches and cozy atmosphere!!! Recommend trying if in the downtown Chattanooga area...
