Came as early as 1957 and as late as 1968. Chattanooga was where parents lived until they moved with the Air Force. Bea's was always a treat. This time was a special treat. Hasn't changed much in 67 years, except expanding. Fresh food is served family style on a great big revolving table. We were given three meats, beans and... More

Bea's is another long-standing, family owned restaurant in Chattanooga. The food is simple, wholesome and they feature great fried chicken. Served family style at large tables, expect to be seated with folks that you may not know. It's an all-you-care-to-eat restaurant and everything except the tip is lincluded in the price. The decor and seating arrangements are unique, like a... More

My niece and I were looking for some real soul food and we found this little gem. We were pleasantly surprised with the dinner selections. They were yummy. I especially enjoyed the catfish and chicken. It was delicious. I never had creamed potatoes. Included in the dinner were green beans, ma and cheese, baked beans, pulled pork, rolls, beets, peach... While in Chattanooga one of our family members wanted to eat at Bea's because he ate there often as a young boy with his parents, so ours was more a nostalgia trip than a dining experience. From what I can tell, Bea's was built in 1949 in what at one time was probably a busy area on the edge of... More

We were passing through and a friend of ours recommended eating here. We stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon around 2:00. Food was delicious and our server was attentive. We never ran out of food. The catfish and slaw was my favorite along with the green beans. For dessert, I sampled the banana pudding and the apple cobbler...YUM! We... More

Great service. Great family style food. Food hits the table fast and lots of it keeps coming. Come hungry. Fried Chicken till you can't swallow any more. Down home comfort food.

Food was good. Service was great. Chicken was some of the best I've had. The dessert was banana pudding and very good. Place was busy but clean.

If you're looking for a hipster place or you want a beer with your food, this ain't it. This is southern food at it finest. This place has been a staple for Chattanoogan's for decades. If you want to know what the best fried chicken in the south taste like then eat here!

We were surprised to sit down and not have a choice on what to order. I should've read reviews first. The only good think about the trip was the fried chicken. All of the sides were bland and cold. Tea was watered down. Location was sketchy. Won't be going back. Didn't get full but food was too gross to eat... More
