I really wanted this experience to be special. I spent three weeks in Asia this summer and was craving some good noodles. In no way was I expecting Tokyo quality ramen, but what I got was a joke. Please for the love of all that is holy stop using those horrifically bad instant noodles. I don't know if Taiko is... More

We love Asian food, but this place was totally forgettable. They have a short menu, and not many choices. What we did get was just ok.

When I order sushi I asked waitress not to put any sauce and they wouldn't make it. I was told chef will not make sushi without a sauce. I wanted my scallop chopped and he wouldn't. Tuna roll without a sauce and answer was no. This will be my first and last visit.

This place has Cookeville's best sushi, hands down. The owners are very friendly, and it's a great place to meet and catch up with old friends. The food is authentic, and the location is great--walking distance from school and close to the square.

I've been here a few times and loved the sushi, but they wouldn't substitute anything for the kids, which was irritating, but livable. The last time I ate there, they brought my water out and there was a squished German cockroach on the lip of my glass!!! The waitress replaced the glass and I lost my appetite. It was obvious... When I want excellent sushi and don't mind spending a little extra on a night out Taiko is where I go. The atmosphere, food, and staff are always excellent and wait time has always been very reasonable. I also often call in a lunch order and it is always ready within 10 minutes. I would frequent it more often if... More

I was looking forward to a new sushi place since I started working in the area, so my coworker brought me here. The interior and ambiance is nice, but the food, not so much. I got a California roll, which is the easiest of rolls to make, and the teriyaki chicken (which was in a bowl, with mushy white rice... More

Having just moved to town, I was looking for a sushi place as I eat sushi at least once a week. I can't get enough of the stuff. I have eaten sushi in Japan, France, the UK, and here at home in the US, so trust me when I say that Taiko is up there on the list of worst... More
