The menu doesn't offer many selections and is quite expensive for the serving sizes. My baked potato was cold and the steaks weren't cooked as ordered. Even though they cooked a second steak, it was still not medium well. Overcooked first time and undercooked the second. They discounted the check but did not comp the meal as requested.

This is a nicer casual dining restaurant in Crossville TN. They feature seafood, chicken, pork, and lamb dishes. My wife had salmon and I had chicken cordon bleu. We were both pleased with our meals. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. They also had reasonably priced homemade desserts, but we passed on those. The meals average about $14-20,... More

The food was incredible. Everything from appetizers to dessert was perfect. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a perfect date night spot.

My wife and I have been to the Brass Lantern a number of times, and the experience is always enjoyable. My prime rib on the last visit was a special that evening and was one of the best I've ever had. Wait staff is helpful and welcoming; white linen table cloths and a quiet atmosphere where two can carry on... More

After a long day on the road we wanted a decent meal with convenience. We ordered it ahead to take back to our room. We ordered the pork chops with an extra one to share. I was expecting a bit more flavor but it was good and there was plenty for two. They gave us extra rolls and anything we... More

The atmosphere is very nice and inviting. The waiter as well was nice. The food however was basic at best. My husband and I ordered the fried mushrooms, they were breaded and came out hot, but hard and lots of coating. Basic bar mushrooms. I had the shrimp scampi. It came with a starch and the veggies were an Asian... More

The Brass Lantern had a lively crowd at the bar tonight. Very freindly wait staff, Rhonda was great. Not a dull moment for a Wednesday in this sleepy town. Passing thru on I-40 to Cookeville for business, glad I stopped in. Had the $18 steak special w/salad. It wasn't an Omaha Steak, but was decent.

There was 4 of us eating that evening and we all order different things. We all agreed the meals were OK but there wasn't much flavor to the food. Very bland. The prices were a little bit high for the quality of food.

A group of eight visited this site on October 7, 2015. Four in the party ordered steaks, two ordered the Filet Mignon and said it was "fair". Two, including myself ordered the rib eye. We both agreed that it was the worst steak we had ever had in a restaurant. This was supposed to be a 12 ounce rib eye.... More

First time in the area and spotted this fine dining establishment in Crossville, next to a winery. Food was very good but the servers had no training whatsoever. While they were polite, it is hard to call this fine dining. Full bar available. Good wine to choose from but nothing out of the ordinary. they serve Escargot for those who... More
