We went there early, and beat the crowd. The food and the service were excellent. Had the fried rice, and one order was enough food for two to three people. Had plenty to take home

We went here for lunch the other day, but decided to get carry out because they were so busy. They were quick to get our food to us and it was pretty good. Large portions.

We went on a Sunday for lunch. At first, it was apparent that they were setting up half the place for a wedding reception. The staff was quietly placing white linen on the tables. Ten minutes into the meal, they started changing the placement of...More

My husband and I love this restaurant. It's conveniently located, the food is delicious, and the service is attentive and friendly. We often choose carry-out, but it's more fun to eat in. Beautiful interior.

New Asia was once a wonderful Chinese restaurant but my last two visits have been lackluster with service that matches. Nevertheless, its local popularity continues. Ambiance is hard to achieve when there's just a wide open dining space and not much more. The menu is...More

This is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Germantown. The hot and sour soup is one of our favorites. The kids love the sesame chicken and I love the General Tsao.

Why do you require that I install the TripAdvisor app just to leave a review? I wanted to leave you a detailed review on New Asia restaurant in Germantown Tennessee. However I will not be forced to install an app on my phone just to give you a review that you would like to have. Here is my review if you're interested. Enjoy your day. No Stars! We have been eating at this restaurant since the first year they were open. Literally for years! It has changed names many times, but the people are exactly the same, year after year, no matter what the name change is. You would think they would eventually get it right. I will never set foot in that restaurant again. Tonight was the end of it all for us. Over the years we have put up with various levels of abuse from the people who work there, and we will not put up with it anymore. Tonight took the cake. We hesitated about even going in at 5 minutes to 9. We're always careful about not making people stay overtime; we don't ever walk into a restaurant right before they close. We checked the door, it said they closed at 9:30. We knew 35 minutes would be pretty much the time we needed to eat. We were immediately greeted with scowls and frowns like, What are you doing here? One female server stopped sweeping the floor to glare at us when my husband said are we too late? She did not bother to answer him, but slammed the broom down and went to get the menus. It was absolutely outrageously RUDE the way we were treated. We got through the ordering although it wasn't pleasant. They made it known that they did not want to serve us. However, when they brought the food , it seemed like they were a tad bit nicer. But by the time it was getting close to 9:30, everything changed. I mean TANKED! My 12 year old grandchild had not finished eating her wonton soup, but the lady was so determined on clearing the table at 9:25, that she took it anyway. We had ordered a large wonton soup, with they intentions of having some to take home with us. Not only was our grandchild not finished eating it right there, but she certainly intended to take the rest of it home with her. We had half a bowl sitting there ready to put in a to-go container. When the server tried to remove the soup to clear the table, she raised her hand to protest and the lady just took it and ignored her. Then, I had finished eating, but my grandchild had asked if I wanted the last of the Mai Fun noodles left on my plate. The server literally took the plate from me and I said loudly, "Stop, she wants that food!" ... as I tried to take it back from her . She made a face to let us know she was not happy, and put it down with quite a thud. And stormed off mad! I told my husband, I feel like we were in and elementary school or something. I mean it was outrageous. She had not bothered to refill my Diet Coke the entire time we were there. So I asked her for a refill to go. She turned to storm off and said I'll get a CUP. I said, "Nooooo, I need a refill." Well of course, when she came back, she pretty much slammed it on the table, and it was empty. I just looked at it like ... You're kidding me, right? So I waited until she came back the next time, and I said, "I've already finished my drink. I need Diet Coke in it... not an empty cup." Not sure why, but I was completely nice. Whoa! There are no words that could describe the glare that I got. She went back over by the Coke machine and slammed the empty cup down ... and then came back out a few minutes later and handed the cup to us. OF COURSE IT CONTAINED REAL COKE...and was dripping all over the outside of it. [As we got up to leave, I knew, I just knew what she had done. I took a drink, and of course it was real coke, not diet.] Well that did it. I was done. We started to the door and I stopped at the cashier's table and told her I would never be back again. The lady sitting there happened to be a Hostess that had nothing to do with any of this. Actually, she was the only one there that had been nice; she was quite pleasant actually. How refreshing. I hated that she had to be the one to get the bad news, but I'm sure they were happy to hear it. I told them I would never come back as long as I live, and that I was not going to pay any restaurant ever again to abuse me and my family. I said I had had it, I told her basically what happened, and I finished it by telling her that the server brought me a real coke as if to spite me for asking her for one to begin with. This Hostess was so apologetic - - - kept asking me could she please bring me a Diet Coke back out. I told her I didnt want the Diet Coke, that I'm leaving I'm never coming back. She kept protesting saying, "I'm soooo sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" And then one of the two servers that had been rude to us came out and said, "What's the matter? What's the matter? All I said was, "I'm out of here." Trust me, we have been through this same scenario probably 85 to 95% of the times we've EVER had a meal in there. But we were convinced that the food was so much better quality that we continue to go back. We would always brace ourselves and we were walking in saying, "Oh man, are we really back here again?" BTW, there's a young man that works the lunches usually that is out and out rude to us as well. He's in a hurry, he stands there and pushes and pushes and pushes you to order the minute you come in! I mean it's like you're sitting there wondering what is his problem. Not a smile from anyone ever! Well, enjoy your life, people! Because I'm gone and so glad I am. I cannot believe I didn't do it 10 years ago. And I'm even even more mad at myself that we continue to leave a 20% tip every single time we walked in the door. I guess they thought we were telling them that we are appreciated the negativity and abusive behavior of the entire staff. Live and learn. No more good tips to people that don't deserve it. And certainly no more NEW ASIA RESTAURANT for us. Never!
