The Original Freezo is, for me, a trip bacdk in time. As a teen, I worked in a Mom & Pop type place as this. One of the best jobs I ever had as a teen. Hamburgers, Hotdogs, ice cream cones, Sundays, Shakes, Malts, Floats and the such, ya can't go wrong with a quick lunch at the Original Freezo.... More

I worked at Freezo back in the 60's and was on Central so my husband and I thought oh let's get a corndog and sit in car and reminisce when we were young and we came here all the time. We ordered two corn dogs ( was afraid to order the footlong hot dogs because I just knew they could... More

This is an original "fast food" joint. You can get all your favorite deep fried goodies served along side your favorite ice cream treat. If you are in the mood for a burger, fries and a milkshake, this is the place. They have a rather extensive menu featuring tons of different ice cream based desserts: shakes, malts, sundaes, "brain freezes",... More

You will have to travel a little out of the way, and it might appear that you are entering an unsafe zone, but all in all it is worth the drive. We don't eat this much, but once in a while we travel there just for the Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl Freezo...if you haven't tried it, you must !!!! Remember cash only... More

I was there last week and had some onion rings, the week before a soft serve ice cream, a couple of weeks earlier, a burger. I can't remember ever being dissatisfied with anything I ordered. Clean, hot, affordable food and the girls working there are friendly.Get your order and go out back to the picnic tables in the shade. It's... More

I work just down the street and visit this spot so often I am on a first name basis with most of the staff. Just a good ole ice cream joint! Their plate lunches are excellent as well...chicken and dumplings and pinto beans and cornbread yummy!

Great Hot Fudge Sundaes and Dip Cones. It is a drive in restaurant with a walk up window to order. You can take the food to your car or to the picnic table around back.

I believe the Freezo has been around since the 40's, maybe earlier. Still the same ice cream, milk shakes, sundies I had when I was a child. Just a GREAT place to visit and eat. No seating except two picnic tables in back. Order at the window. YUMMMMMMY !

Freezo is a hidden gem on Central Street in Knoxville. You can either use the drive thru or park and walk up to the window to order. The food ranges from hot dogs and ice cream cones to chicken and dumplings and hot tamales. The staff is always friendly, and it has retro appeal. My children love it!

I have worked across the street from The Freezo for approximately 4 years and have never had a bad experience. The service is always good and the food is fresh. It is well worth the stop no matter where you are coming from.
