I walked through on a weekday to avoid the masses of people which is normal on the weekends. Sometimes they are half dozen or more charter buses with out of town guests. I don't normally buy goods here, because the prices are considerably cheaper in...the other market. The wares are mostly from Nicaragua, and less made in China. The quality is very good and the place is always clean. Good assortment of goods, but a bit pricyMore

The atmosphere, the service was all good but just remember to bring with you money in cash because they don't accept credit/debit card.

The food was allright and abundant, but nothing special. Check your bill. Prices on the menu were in cordobas and we got the bill in dollars. If We had not checked the bill we would have been overcharged 25%!

We stopped in during our day long private tour of a few cities in southern Nicaragua. The food was very good, served on sizzling plates! I had the fish, while my wife and daughter had the chicken! The restaurant was clean and the serve was...good! We went out into the open market after our lunch and did a little shopping...didn't feel pressured to purchase anything, we did make a number of purchases! A little touristy, but that's fine!More

We stopped with our tour group of 10 at Don Nacho inside the market for our lunch. I must say it was one of our best meals we have had in our week long stay in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. My wife and I both...ate chicken kabobs from the grill with rice and vegetables. Service was fast and friendly.highly recommend to eat here when at the Masaya market.More

Pros - TONS of quality handicrafts in one spot. Lots of food/drink options. Clean environment. I never felt like I was hassled by the people running the shops. If I just wanted to browse, they didn't care! First place I've traveled in a while that...was that chill. Seemed a bit touristy - but not the worst thing ever.More

My wife and I had a guide, Tony, who took us to this market restaurant. My wife had chicken and I had a beef dish that was served on sizzling platters. We both ordered plantains with the meal and Tony ordered a few other plantain...dishes to try. The green plantains were awesome. The chicken was excellent but my beef was a little tough. I've heard such great things about steaks in Nicaragua but I have yet to have a good one. We both had beer and the entire meal was around $35 US with tip.More

We stopped in for a quick bite and was expecting an average quick lunch, but were very surprised. The food was well above expectations. It was very tasty and the portions were large. Our friends got a meal for four that had beef, pork, chicken,...fish, beans, salad, and other items. It was great! I was somewhat skeptical about eating the fish, but it was my favorite item on the dish. The service was great and friendly. If you go, go hungry.More
