Very good food with excellent pint of Guinness. Very good views of the lake. Very friendly chatty staff. We go every year for our Christmas office dinner.

The food here was absolutely terrible. It was overpriced and served cold. The selection is extremely poor and if you want potatoes you have to pay an extra €3.50. We came here for my sisters graduation meal but left feeling hungry and bitterly disappointed. Such a waste of money. Would not go back.

What is so astonishing about this restaurant is that there are so many good reviews about it. I have never had a more awful dining experience. Firstly - and this is by no means the worst part - the feel of the dining area is that you are in the dining room of a rather nice old people's home. There... More

The last time I ventured to Virginia was probably 20 years ago, whilst playing rugby for Donaghadee. On that occasion our culinary delight was to sample pickled eggs on the return journey on the bus. It wasn't for the faint hearted. But back to business. Following an exciting Northern Irish heat of Great British Menu, which saw Eddie Attwell seemingly... More

If you are after burger and chips you will be disappointed however if you are seeking homemade quality food with a few quirks and strange combinations you will be amazed the portion sizes are perfect and the 4 courses are all home made cooked and prepared in house which is a rarity in modern Irish restaurants .The views of the... The food here was beautiful, we really enjoyed it. Service was great, staff were lovely, looking forward to go back. Amazing views of the surrounding scenery (get a window seat). A little pricey but worth it.

Afternoon Tea is not high on my list when it comes to meals, coming as it does at that strange time of the day when you should be otherwise occupied than eating a whole meal in itself in between lunch and dinner. However I was determined to try it for once in my life and St Kyran's was going to... More

A nice place to visit but definitely won't leave with a full belly or wallet....prices are high and portions really need to be at least doubled

We had booked for the five course tasting menu and bed and breakfast. The accommodation is clean, modern and is all you need for an overnight stay. The house has amazing views over the lough and we were fortunate on the evening we stayed to be able to sit outside in the lovely sunshine and enjoy a pre dinner drink... More
