Chilled and hungry, we went to The Club for dinner. Mostly because we had heard they had Steak and Guiness pie on the menu. The atmosphere was great, the people were friendly, especially the waitress who told us that those pies were huge - and needed to be split by two. She was right! They were big, piping hot and... If it hadn't been for a sidewalk sign, we probably wouldn't have discovered this wonderful pub on a side street in Dalkey. The interior alone is worth a peek inside! The service was friendly and accommodating. The food, excellent.

Very unpleasant experience when was asked to pay twice for same round of drinks. Poor communication between bar staff and kitchen. When ordering at bar staff member said "I will bring your change with the drinks" and this happened. After we had food we were accused of not paying for this round of drinks. Even on production of receipt (showing... More

The Club is much bigger and far more ornate than you expect before you open the door. We visited in the winter so there were lots of available nooks and crannies in which to sit. Wide choice of beers and spirits. Usual choice of pub menu. We opted for the chicken tagliatelle which was tasty and plentyful. Nice pub with... More

Always pop in here on our holiday. I like the amposhere, the friendliness of the staff, all just very relaxing... Good lunch, good choice of drinks. I haven't been here in the evening so cannot really tell if there's any different during the day. Anyway, i really recommend this place when you're around the area..
