11 of us, an almost 50/50 mix of adults and kids arrived on this fantastic little spot right on the water without advanced booking. A warm welcome greeted us. A light lunch was in order for us all. A good mix of chowder, soup of the day and kids main courses were ordered. Our food arrived without delay, along with... More

Stopped off here for dinner. We sat in the restaurant side and had a great view of the pier. Restaurant was quiet at this time and a little bit cold! Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Took our order pretty quick and we got served our food in great time too. Food was delicious I really enjoyed it. God was... More

It's hard to separate the dining experience from the village of Kinvara, itself, because it's all quite wonderful – quaint, authentic, enticing. The Pier Head offers great views of the waterfront, and also of Dunguaire Castle, certainly worth a visit on its own. The food suits the setting – lots of fish and seafood, and excellent chowder.

This Galway hidden gem is worth the drive from anywhere in the west of ireland. Ambiance, staff, selection and service is fabulous. I'm from San Francisco, so I know my restaurants. Try the pier head, you will find something to delight your taste buds!!

The place is very nice with nice views, the food was good Irish pub food but nothing to rave about, good to have a quick bite whilst enjoying the views.

Wonderful restaurant on the water with fun live music in the evening. The Sea Bass was wonderful and the Seafood Chowder is the best I've had anywhere. Service was efficient without being intrusive and always there when needed.

Ate here as I always do when in Kinvara but this time I have to say it was woeful. I had the lamb or should I say I had the fat off a lamb dreadful my brother had steak which would have made a good sole for a shoe and to top it all it's as expensive as you can... More

Probably the best restaurant this side of Galway. We've been coming to Kinvara/Ballyvaughan for 15 years and have never been disappointed with the food we've had here and we are very hard to please! The crab claws and chowder are exceptional. The restaurant itself is lovely and the atmposhere is always fabulous as too are the staff. They have a... More

Great restaurant with a waterfront view. The menu had a good selection to choose from. I have several dietary constraints and they were able to prepare me something that was delicious. If you are staying in Kinvara or stopping by I would recommend making at stop at this restaurant.
