Now, as tents go this is quite large and if I'm honest, somewhat draughty. But hey, it's Dartmoor after all. The ambience of the interior however is unique and the lighting at this time of year nicely subdued. No fire lit when we arrived, but evidence led us to the conclusion this might not have been a good plan. A... More

Had lunch here the day before the fire. Very generous portions, and friendly staff. We sat next to the old clock with a wall build around it a few hundred years previously, and I had to bend down to avoid bashing my head on the low ceilings. Loved the place, and gutted that it was gutted.

Does what it says really - a Devon pub that serves good food. Great range of beers and it's beautiful pub both inside and out especially after they've done some upgrading. Very much approve.

We wanted to eat at this highly recommended inn. But were very sad to find it has been devastated by fire recently and is closed till further notice. They are hoping to rebuild and we wish them luck andbest wishes.

Beautiful country pub. Excellent food and excellent service. The local cider prevents me remembering much more detail but I would definitely go back!

We eat here last Saturday. Nice little boozer but shame nobody in restaurant which looks like it has been recently refurbished. Although we ate alone it did not affect our views of the place. The service was good, probably because we were the only customers, and the food was acceptable especially the veal scotch egg which was delicious. The menu... More

Very quiet when we visited but the staff could not have been more helpful. Probably a different story at the height of the season but worth a visit

We stay at a holiday cottage that recommend the Ring of Bells for food. It is a lovely pub which has a cosy warm vibe. The food was really good. Belly pork a must try! So good we came back 3 out of the 4 nights for dinner
