When I want a chippy tea I want hot chips and preferably with a bite. What I got was barely warm chips, many of them grey in colour and pure soggy.

pity white chips, very battery fish, all could have done with another 3/4 minutes cooking. By time taken up the hill a messy bag of greasy undercooked food. A pity staff were friendly.

2nd visit second disappointment. Another 2-3 minutes in the frier and the chips would be cooked, rather than a white slippery consistency. Very generous fish portions but also a bit more cooking would improve. Hard to understand why a chippy can regularly under cook food....More

Recommended by the locals tucked away but well worth looking for. The fish n chips were fresh and plentiful served with a smile and jokes a plenty. Ate them on the sea wall just like they should. E

Large portions and reasonably priced, always get our chips from here for meals at home, excellent value as £2 portion is more than enough for the three of us. Fish which comes in different varieties depending on season for some is cooked in light batter...More

There is just one bench & table where 4 people could eat but mostly it's a takeaway.
