Popped in for coffee in this lovely village where we had stayed a few years ago and had very fond memories, luckily the rest of Dittisham still holds the magic but not this pub, the very unwelcoming and unfriendly bar person was so sarcastic when I asked if we could order a coffee that in hindsight I wish I had... I loved my salmon and vegetables for dinner. The atmosphere is cosy and village-y. Very friendly and cheerful bartender.

We arrived in Dittisham at lunchtime and popped into this local pub to see if we could eat later when the rest of our family arrived. We were told they served til 9..9.30. We got there for 8.50 . Obviously very inconvenient as the "chef" as she described herself hadn't been informed and was due to finish. Our meal was... More

We stayed three nights and ate all our meals here. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble. The evening specials were tasty and reasonably priced, the steaks are a must. The local beer is very good. The pub is unusual and some reviews are not complementary, however this is born of trying to keep a village alive,... More

For two days in a row, I especially enjoyed the good English breakfast of bacon and bangers. The restaurant has a breath-taking view of the River Dart.

We have stayed over at Greenway for a few years now, but always make a be line for this pub. It has everything you could imagine. We have done our shopping there before for our evening meal whilst having coffee and cakes. Do try it if you are in the area.

Called in after a long journey and it felt like stumbling into some bizarre cross between between a comedy and a horror movie. The food was terrible, particularly the fish - it was very rubbery.

This pub has a bit of everything - bar, shop, restaurant, take away & post office. Very useful for topping up on essentials as has a very well stocked shop for its size. Good beer selection and sensibly priced. Down side is it needs a good tidy up, particularly outside on the patio area. Had a take away one evening... More

We found the food at the Red Lion excellent - especially the fish and chips! The pub also has a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!
