Coming down the beautiful Heddon Valley you can't miss this Inn, located just next to The National Trust area. Nice restaurant and pub with billiard table and chimneys. I enjoyed a lime cheesecake and a cappuccino. If you look up the road at the end of the day you might catch the peacocks coming down the road heading to the... More

We stopped at the hunters inn on the 14the March 17, there was 4 of us who all had different meals, and to say the least were all very very good, everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed, we went to this pub last year and I have to say it was a little disappointing, where this time not only did the... Stopped for lunch after walking with our dogs down to the picturesque cove at Heddons Mouth. We sat outside and had Fish & Chips and a Steak Burger with chips. Both really good. Not the cheapest but good value. Staff were all very friendly and obliging.

Stopped here for lunch, staff were very friendly (and the peacocks in the garden were entertaining!) Good menu and food was super.

You find Hunter's Inn along a winding road which is barely wide for one car! But it is worth it. We stopped off for some drinks and dessert and can only comment on these. Hubby enjoyed a couple of pints of Exmoor Stag. I had a coffee and liqueur. We shared a chocolate and pear tarte with mint and apple... More

A beautiful looking building set in a nice location. But don't be fooled it doesn't deserve the looks. Came for dinner with friends, not a good start when we asked the waiter what the soup of the day was and he 'wasn't sure'. So we ordered our starters and mains. The starters where average at best, the mushroom soup very... More

Not cheap but guess, that's,due to the lovely refurbishment going on..aiming for the summer and wedding market but who can blame them! Beautiful location, fairly pleasant staff. Would have eaten lunch but at five to twelve, the menus hadn't been printed....so we had drinks and left.

We dined here as the restaurant at Heddon's Gate Hotel was closed that night. My dinner was quite good while my husband's seemed like it may have been a 'packaged and heated' affair. Still, the ambiance was very, very nice and the waitstaff was cheerful. I hate the steak & ale pie which was positively wonderful, husband had the chicken... More

The pub was busy, the staff helpful and the pub is clean. We had a table in quite a large room which would have been more comfortable with some soft furnishings, ie curtains. The lack of these maybe was because the room had recently been redecorated. I had Hungarian Goulash which was a hot stew with plenty of vegetables and... More
