Popped in here for a snack, all of the tables were taken downstairs as it was very busy so went upstairs today. It is table service which is nice and although it was busy did not have to wait long before our order was taken. We had scrambled eggs on toast which was lovely and lots of it! Staff here... More

Popped in for lunch the menu was excellent and good value for money. It was catering for all ages and the option to have a small medium or large meal is excellent. All meal were well cooked an presentation was good. Staff we're friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.

Recently been staying in Exmouth and were looking for a tearoom for a snack. We noticed the Wine of Araby which looked very popular and found a table inside. The staff were all welcoming and took our order. There was an offer on the board for tea/coffee and homemade cake/doughnut - just what we fancied! My husband ordered a pot... More

I had lunch here the other day while out shopping with my wife, the restaurant is located in the main Exmouth Magnolia shopping centre, ideal for shoppers and visitors around the Exmouth area, they serve a wonderful roast dinner (lunch) at very competitive prices (my favourite type lunch) but they serve all types of various foods to suit all tastes,... Me and my partner regularly go to the Wine of Araby for food and are never let down. Anyone going must try there mega breakfast which is served all day; so much food and you also get a drink in the price. The decor is dated but it's homely. Definitely worth a visit.

Have been here twice for Sunday lunch as it is good value for money, always busy which is a good sign that people enjoy the food there. You have a choice of small or large roasts that are served hot and tasty like home cooked meals should be, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They do very well with... More

I am surprised there is such a high rating on this establishment because the food there is truly shocking. My sister and I used to go for Sunday roast years ago which was always ok despite being microwaved. However, myself and a family member visited one day during the week and we had to send the food back. I ordered... More

Thank you for your reply and sorry for our length in replying back to you. We are a very busy establishment and very popular and although we do aim on offering a consistent quality with our meals, sometimes things can go wrong which is where I think this is the situation. I am pleased to hear that the way we... More

Went in for breakfast. Have to say I've had better. Egg was dried up and hash browns were hard. Chairs were uncomfortable and cramped and there was dreadful pop music blaring out from the radio, only interrupted by lots of adverts for places that weren't even in Exmouth! Won't be back.

Management response:

We are sorry that the local radio station's music was not to your taste and was to loud for you, we do aim to keep the level to a low volume and background music only but was decided long ago to support the local radio station. In terms of the food, this should not have been the case and the... More

The food here is generally quite cheap and cheerful but very nice, the breakfast is good but the hash browns are overly crispy and seems asif the plate has just been sat in the oven for ages as the egg yolk comes out dry aswell as the dish itself. Would recommend all but the breakfast, but is a good portion... More

Management response:

Thank you for your comments and we are sorry you feel the breakfasts are off a low standard. Since your visit, staff training has been completed with the new staff member who was on during the day which is an effort to try to ensure a higher consistency of breakfasts and food across the board. We are also using new... More

Went around lunch time and walked in to find all but one table upstairs full. This is a good sign I thought. Sat down and a friendly waitress came to take our order. We ordered two of their all day breakfasts which come with either tea or coffee. We were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. With... More
