The Crabshell Inn looks nice on the outside, but it is actually mostly a pizza place. I found the seafood dishes really poor. As a single woman I found the service poor, it wasn't unfriendly it was just not very engaging. I had to ask...More

We ate here twice during our recent stay in Kingsbridge. We've been coming to the town off and on since 2005. The old traditional Crabshell Inn certainly has had something of a makeover following the departure of the original landlord and his wife. Now it's...More

We had both lunch and evening meal at the Crabshell and on both occasions, thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff are very attentive without hovering over you. Can't recommend enough!

We found the food good. Not a great selection on the menu unless of course you count pizza, of which they have umpteen different varieties. They did have a duo playing the evening we dined, many of those attending definitely thought they were wonderful, personally...More

Enjoyed the atmosphere although exceptionally busy! Views were fabulous over the estuary! We felt the menu was very limited, I had pizza which was lovely! My husband had steak as there was very little else he fancied! We still enjoyed the experience and would probably...More

First of all, we all had a very lovely meal and were delighted with the location. Great views and a choice of sitting inside or out & best of all, we were allowed to bring the dog in with us - bonus! Bizarrely, if you...More

It seems that a small fortune is being spent at The Crabshell to refurbish it. It looks good and obviously hasn't affected the great view. The problem lies with 'regime'. I have never come across so many rules about what you can eat and where....More
