We chose this pub as a lunchtime rendezvous due to the proximity to the crematorium. The landlady could not have been more accommodating as our arrival times were staggered over an hour. All I can say is amazing! The food we chose was perfect, I had the venison & it's got to be the best venison I've ever eaten, beautifully presented & served by excellent staff, the band & atmosphere were superb, I can't recommend the thirsty farmer highly enough, well worth a visit x

Have eaten here before and meal was good. Ate there last night and extremely disappointed. I had scampi and new potatoes and peas, I should have taken a photograph as the meal simply consisted of five small new potatoes, a handful of peas and approx six pieces of scampi. There was no salad and for this measly and poorly presented... More

When in fact, this pub is a totally gem hidden away in a sleepy little village and is a must visit. The food... More

We came here for a on the spot meal, can not rate this higher, I was greeted Vicky (landlady) who could not be nicer, we had 3 courses from a mix of the specials menu and farmer classics, all were not only first class but prompt, we really loved the local pub atmosphere, but the quiet restaurant quality. Really pleasant... More

Not nice food which was served barely warm but hard to complain when you are sat in your pre booked table next to a locals disco.
