Just popped in after leaving Swannery for quick lunch as passing back through village. Nice looking pub, was very quiet when we visited so service was friendly and quick. Just had main courses - sausages and fish, both meals were nice.

Popped in for a bit of informal lunch, and I was pleased to see the Cask Marque certificate inside! I know this means good beer and I wasn't disappointed! I had a lovely pint of "Blonde Witch" by Moorhouse brewery (obvs named after my ex!)...More

Have been dropping in here for 30 years, but no more! Popped in for a sandwich & a beer on a slow Friday afternoon, place was not busy so should have been a breeze. Ordered 2 sandwiches with the cup of soup, a simple request!...More

Bags of character in this ancient inn. We only had coffee/tea drinks and one cream tea that was good. Worth a visit in a lovely location

A lovely place to relax and have lunch. Lovely interior and good menu from bar snacks to full lunches. Enjoyed a nice sandwich which was reasonably priced and very tasty. Recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Food was tasty and generous, just the ticket! Dogs are welcome too, an added bonus for us, so we will definitely return when next in the area.

Hi, Called in for lunch today, first time in over 2 years. When finally got our food it was very good but had to wait almost an hour for it. Would like to know why no one thought to simply inform us that there was a delay and apologise...that would have been fine, but felt aggrieved that it was not addressed. When my husband stated that he had asked for granary and not white bread for his sandwich the waitresses response was that she had not taken the order!.... Di you feel that this was an appropriate response? We would be tempted to try again but are concerned as to whether this service is the norm? Regards Bramley

We had so many problems, all staff related, that we wouldn't go there again. There are so many better places to go..... Also, including staff tip of 10% in your bill without asking is unforgivable.

The Ilchester Arms has recently been taken over by the Harrison family, re-opening after a full renovation in April 2014. Offering informal dining in the conservatory, dining room or bar areas, there are a variety of menus offering affordable bar snacks and home made meals through to fantastic locally sourced steaks and seafood.

Freshly made breakfasts, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea options can all be enjoyed under the gaze of St Catherines Chapel, or a comprehensive drinks selection can be sampled by our roaring log fire. The delicious menus are created by renowned Head Chef Sean McBride and focus on using locally sourced ingredients.
