We met friends here on a Saturday lunchtime. As we were early we went into a little side room and had teas and coffees. The restaurant itself is very well laid out and there is also a conservatory when the place is busy. The food was very good, but the menu is limited. My wife is lactose intolerant and there... More

Used to be fantastic but has rather deteriorated. Service was so slow; waited for 20 mins for the bill because of computer error but they kindly adjusted the bill as computer crashed. Starter was cold. Mains arrived at different times. Vegetables terrible; butternut squash with thyme needs thyme! Thank you for being kind and friendly to the birthday lady.

Last Saturday evening my wife and I went to the Bridge House hotel for a (slightly belated) Silver Wedding Anniversary dinner. Great welcome,, good bar selection of beers and wines. Outstanding food and very efficient staff - always available yet not obtrusive.

Excellent Meal and first rate service. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here whilst staying at the hotel. Intimate dining area and great choice of locally produced food.

We had a weekend away and spent 2 nights at the Bridge house. The room was clean and spacious, warm and cosy so no complaints. Bath room was a little tired and the towel rail was dusty. It was all ok with out blowing us away (£200 a night and ok). We had dinner one night and I found the... More

We had excellent wines with help from the senior member of staff. The lounge area for drinks is comfortable and slightly quirky. We were seated in the annexe for dinner, which was good for us as a party of 5 so that we could all hear the conversation with one member having a hearing aid. The service was friendly and... More

We were well looked after with advice on wines, food and seating area when we requested. The food was excelllent and the price was acceptable for the standard of the foo, the service and the surroudings. We sat in the outside area with a fine day.

Relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff and faultless food again. Back a second time this year. Celebrated sons 30th in June here with all the family, again faultless.

Dorset has many fine eateries, but you'd be missing out if you didn't give the Beaminster Brasserie, at the BridgeHouse Hotel, a try. Imagine the finest West Dorset produce from its luscious fields and bountiful sea served up in an historic setting with professionalism and passion. Whether you're looking for a quick, light, healthy bite, a delectable dinner or the best of the best business lunches, then you'll find it here. Our brasserie is beautifully chic, relaxed and with a lively atmosphere. You can choose from three unique eating areas: a candle lit dining room, Georgian panelled with conservatory; The Sun Room conservatory dining; And our wonderfully Mediterranean al fresco dining area overlooking the walled garden. Our manager Brendon Matthews and head chef Steve Pielesz have a great rapport which creates an original, tasteful dining experience. Together they have established a great following in this newly discovered, foodie destination of West Dorset. Steve's fabulous modern cuisine and our exclusive award winning wine list is perfectly complemented by the ideal setting. The restaurant is also a great choice for wedding receptions, group dining and entertaining.
