We ate at the Half Moon three times while staying locally for a week. Each occasion was thoroughly enjoyable. Of particular note was the warm and friendly welcome from the new owners who only took the business over in mid April. So good to have hosts who are enjoying themselves and want to discuss everything possible to make sure you... More

Lovely restaurant and food, owners really welcoming whilst only two days into the job! Nothing was too much trouble and sincere apologies for the new coffee machine not being installed yet and problem with the card machine... I can live with that!! Thanks guys - will be back again....

This place used to be remarkably good, then it became less so. Now it is less so still. I wouldn't travel to visit but if you're in the area it's ok.

For mains Aimee & I had the burger, my mum had fish & chips whilst my Dad had the Salmon Ravioli. For pudding Aimee had... More

What a lovely place for a cosy evening meal. The team in the hotel were so friendly and attentive. The meal was beautifully cooked, to our specifications, and was a delight. We will certainly visit again when next in the area. Loads of parking. We were in accommodation just across the county border in Somerset - it was well worth... More

Eight of us locals dropped in for a dinner and were greeted with a warm welcome. Several of us ordered the smoked haddock mousse starter which had an odd after-taste. The house replaced the dishes immediately and did not charge us for any of the starter course. The liver pate was amazing as were the balsamic figs in whipped blue... More

We went for lunch with small children. Nothing was too much trouble, the children's mother ordered off menu. The chef was happy to serve bread, butter and jam to 1 of the children!! All the meals were delicious. The staff were all fantastic and helpful. The décor has been updated and is beautiful, comfortable and cosy . May have benefited... More

Great place for a Sunday Roast, food cooked to a high standard and service good. Not a massive menu choice which makes it far easier to choose.
