The food here is undeniably fabulous, however in terms of customer service it is dreadful, if only they got themselves organised it would be a wonderful experience instead of a stressful one. You wait forever to be served and far too long for food to arrive - It is just utter chaos - watch they charge you for the correct... More

On a day out we decided to visit the salt pig to get a picnic to have along the river. Ordered the lamb and mint sandwiches on home made bread - quite simply amazing!!! We also ordered a cheese pastry and real lemonade. All the food was delicious. Lovely place serving yummy and unusual food, also had a butchers and... More

This is our third visit to the Salt Pig (as we don't live locally). This time we were disappointed. The food was very tasty, as always, but the portion size was much smaller than previously and WOT - no Pork !! (Lamb, Beef or Gammon on offer)

I stopped off here for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon, and had probably the tastiest quiche I've ever sampled! The lady who served me was very friendly and efficient. I could tell the food was really fresh, and the flavours were amazing. The quiche was warm and the two sides were cold salads, so it was a nice... More

First visit on Saturday, even though we've lived in the town for 3 years. We both had the full English - it was really tasty, great quality ingredients. Fantastic service with friendly staff. Will definitely be back soon!

The food and service are both excellent. Although it was a busy Saturday morning, an extremely friendly and helpful waitress got us coffee at a seat in the back while we waited for a table in the cafe. We had quite possibly the best traditional cooked breakfastI've ever had. It was so lovely on the Saturday, we went back on... More

Spoilt rotten at the Salt pig on Saturday night for my birthday, great staff, fantastic food and a wonderful rustic approach to fine dining with a good price tag.

Had a meal in here but the heat in the place really made it uncomfortable sitting in eating. All home cooked local produce. Nothing special but not bad either
