We've been here a couple of times and it's really friendly, with a varied menu and large portion sizes. Most things are home-made and all the food we've eaten here has been delicious. I was told that they can also do smaller portions for those who don't have large appetites. It's cosy and traditional, without any pretentiousness like some of... More

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Ordered a burger and was not disappointed, plus the portion size was huge! Everything was fresh and very tasty. The beer was very well kept. The atmosphere was friendly, with lots of regular customers - always a good sign. Landlord and staff were great.

Friendly pub, ashame about the old man with the hammer trying to bang masonary nails into stone while we were eating. Some internal decorating was going on at the time. The food was good and the waitress friendly and helpful.

Visited mid-week in November and there was also a beer festival taking place at the time so were spoilt for choice for drinks. The food was English pub food with generous portion sizes well cooked and presented. Visited as two couples and all four meals were well received. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Adjacent on street parking could... More

A table of 10 for lunch today and the food was superb! A Sunday Roast that was exactly like home, just with more meat - excellent! All our needs catered for with great bar service and table service. My only wish was for all the main courses to arrive together - the time between first and last meant the first... More

Loved going to the pub last week in half term. Stayed in Wareham for the week and we popped in to the pub for a drink and to eat on a number of occasions - lunch and dinner. Great staff, very welcoming, lovely choice of Ales and great food - "honest to goodness" as my husband said - big portions.... More

The pub is very old and traditional however this could be revamped and still be traditional, the service was excellent, very friendly staff, good homemade food that was tasty and filling, good size portions and was satisfied when we left.

Drank here a few times whilst on holiday nearby. A real ale drinkers pub. The beer was kept brilliantly, star bright. What a proper Olde English pub should look like. Pub grub available and dog friendly.

Needed a light dinner on arriving in Wareham. Tried the Kings Arms and chose from the 'specials' board. Good food at realistic prices.
