I visited this restaurant recently with friends. We called in to see if lunch was available at 2 pm. The place was full of happy diners but a table became available in a short time. The staff were so helpful and cheerful and arranged the table to suit our party of 6. The menu was interesting but we all chose... More

Aside from my own bed, this is my most favourite place in the world!! It's like visiting your best mate, only with really really reeeeeeeally good food! The team are so welcoming, gracious and accommodating, they are so invested in making sure your experience is positive that I literally don't want to leave! For a sneaky latte and traybake, a... Excellent service and local food at busy time. Staff well trained in table skills. Presentation good. Facilities clean although baby change mat looked like it could do with a freshen up itself.

Delicious brunch and at an affordable price. This comfortable cafe sits overlooking Comber square. The staff were very efficient and helpful and the place warm and homely. My seafood chowder was really wonderful and I got excited when I saw it....then I felt disheartened... the large looking soup dish was almost as flat as a plate....no depth and I was... More

Hi Linda, Thanks for leaving the review. I'm glad you liked everything. In relation to the chowder I take your point and would like to add that we have large deep bowls ordered from our supplier and are just awaiting delivery. It is usually a deep bowl but breakages forced us to use another unsuitable bowl. Perhaps the chef didn't... More

Sugarcane in Comber's square is one of County Down's hidden treasures and its 100% reliable in my experience, whether you want somewhere for a breakfast meeting with clients, a working lunchtime hideaway or a great night out with friends. The service is excellent and the menu varies but always features good quality local produce. The food, while never ostentatious, is... More

I dropped in today as I was travelling through Comber. As soon as I entered, a friendly smiling server seated me and left a menu for me to browse. Eventually, I chose the small seafood chowder after having a chat with a couple of the most friendly servers as they passed. There was such a variety of choice on the... More

Called in today for a quick snack. Found staff welcoming and attentive. Good menu, wine list long but on the pricey side. They have a range of craft beers from Irish providers. Very clean and well equipped toilet suitable for disabled patrons, also has baby changing facilities ( something larger venues lack). Children are welcome. Positioned in the town square!... More
