Was out with family and found this lovely coffee shop. Go in via a shop which sells nice thinks including clothes, children books etc, cakes and biscuits. The coffee shop is quite big and has a lovely feeling. Waitress service is good. Have lots to choose from such as sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes etc all of which were excellent. Also... More

Visited there with family visiting from USA, and UAE. We were a large group of 9. the restaurant was full, but they were very accommodating and put 3 tables together. Soup was delicious; fish and chips (homemade speciality chips), hamburgers, were fresh and in large enough portions. The BLT sandwich and simple but delicious cheese toastie were great. Desserts especially... More

We had lunch in the House of Darrach on our way to Loch Lomond. It was a nice cosy coffee shop with some choices of soup and sandwiches. The mint hot chocolate was great!

Stopped of at House of Darroch for lunch. Food excellent and service was very fast, polite and staff keen to help/answer any questions. This is 5th or 6th visit ranging from light lunch to a Sunday carvery. For food and environment it's hard to beat. We will be returning soon.

I have frequented the House of Darrach many times being a local. Without a doubt the cakes are their best asset, and are consistently delicious, particularly the Victoria Sponge and cream scones! Lunches can be quite pricey but are generally good, and the soups are always very fresh and delicious. Service is always excellent and it's a nice atmosphere in... More

We visited briefly last year when we popped in en route to the Cameron House and really liked it. We had coffee and cakes last time. This time we had the Christmas carvery lunch which was nice but definitely has room for improvement. I agree with the comments re the shop. It's a bit uncomfortable. We had one of the... More

We decided to have the Christmas lunch but were underwhelmed when it arrived. It was served on stone-cold plates which immediately was a let-down. We each had two tiny pieces of potato roasted and lukewarm mashed potatoes. Had we been paying for the meal ourselves we would have complained, but our daughter was treating us so it would have been... More
