Wanted a light breakfast so ordered the scrambled eggs on toast - very tasty and 2 slices of toast was just a tad too much. I would ask for no leaves, looked pretty but tasted rank. Partner had the poached eggs as Benedict was not...available, gorgeous deep yellow yolks and a 4 rashers of bacon. A latte & Americano were great quality. Staff were all polite, attentive & friendly.More
Booked lunch for 4 ,and were shown to our window table by friendly and helpful Erin . We ordered 3 fish and chips and a fish pie all served piping hot followed by an excellent apple pie and ice cream . The staff were all...working hard and tables were cleaned and sanitised as soon as they were vacated We thought it was a great meal and thank you to Erin who looked after usMore
Visited The Waterfront to eat 3 times between 8th to 10th Sept 21and found all the food and service to be excellent. The fish and chips are superb and very fresh. Also Visited throughout our stay for drinks and coffees at various times and again...found everything very nice and good service.
You can also sit outside and look directly over the harbour which is very nice in good weather.
Would recommend booking as it is very popular.
Found it to be the best place to eat In Anstruther.More
Arrived without booking but the staff were quick and attentive and soon cleaned and set a table for us. I noticed that their sanitising of everything was meticulous.
Efficient waitresses and unfussy menu made for a lovely evening. It may seem a tad harsh to...knock off a star for it but the frozen chips were a mild disappointment, it’s the kind of place where hand cut, triple cooked chips would have been more appropriate. Just my opinion but there again, that’s what Tripadvisor is…More
Great location (right on the shore), with great food and tremendous variety of choices (smoked haddock and prawn timbale was braw). Great advice from the staff on where the nearest petrol station was (even though they had no petrol for a week), and what the...backup plan should be). Will certainly be back.More
Jo was our server and was very helpful in answering all our questions. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really lovely. Just a few days away for us but if in the area again we will be back.
