The Boathouse serves mostly seafood but my husband loves the locally sourced steak pie. We have eaten here a few times now and it's definitely on my must stop places to visit each time we are in the East Neuk. My 3 year old Grand...daughter cleared her plate of fish and chips which was a very generous portion for a child. The Prawn salad and chilli chips taste out of this world. My compliments to the Chef ❤️ The staff are all very friendly and attentive and if you are visiting fife then you need to add this place to your list of must visits. Just back from a two week jaunt round Scotland, wow this place had the best accommodation, best working flatscreen, a bath and a shower,large bedroom and the best breakfast of our holiday. As a bonus the restaurant below is excellent and reasonably priced. Finally the...Staff are attentive and dealt with all our requests. Well impressed our two nights was not enough.More

We were staying in Crail, and jumped on the 95 bus to Anstruther - about a 15 min journey, and lovely views all the way. A lovely welcome and great service from the bar tender (I didn't ask her name, but she had a dark...ponytail). I had a glass of wine, and my partner recommends the cask pilsner - best beer he found in the area apparently! And thanks to previous reviews on here, we knew to pop out the back and find the secret garden!. Recommend, and will definitely come back next time we're in the area.More

This place was more like a bar with food than a restaurant. Very small inside with tables too close together. Food choice was limited. The chowder was the go to dish and we both had this, one as a starter and one as a main....It was good but not great. Lots of vegetables, a little fish and one shrimp between us. Scampi wasn’t good. Tasted like frozen food straight out of Iceland. Disappointed us for a special occasion.More

We came here for lunch while visiting for the day and it was a nice location and friendly atmosphere. However a few of the waitresses were laughing and giggling and taking photos of each other which didn’t give the best first impression. There were no...vegan options on the menu at all so I opted for the meatless burger. When the burger arrived it was simply 2 frozen vegetable based burgers that had been reheated. Definitely not worth the price we paid.More

Visited here yesterday. Lovely cosy friendly pub. We had a meal and OMG The best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Would highly recommend and am looking forward to my return.
